Absolutely extraordinarily place to stay when visiting or in business in both New York and New Jersey,Its very rare I write the reviews,given that strange circumstance,I m compelled to write this one due to that’s extraordinary services and atmosphere I were able to experiences,friendly Welcome the moment you walk in the front desk above and beyond the expectations of high level Hotel employees,this place is truly a phenomenon and all employees are just remarkable,I thank the management for making that happened.

Very friendly staff. Our room had an awesome view of the river. NYC was only 30 minutes away & there's definitely plenty to do either way!! A must see for sure

The rooms are comfortable and easy to access. A recommended bang for your buck stay in a convenient location. Surrounded by convenience stores and local eateries, the hotel is also a short commute via train or bus from NYC.

My 94 year young Uncle decided to drive from South Carolina to New York. He chose The Red Roof Inn Secaucus N.J. to stop for the night. He was beyond exhausted when he arrived, so much so that he couldn't even find his room.
Maria, at the front desk,(11/27/17) took him under her wing.
Not only was she so genuinely kind to him and myself (he called me and I spoke with her), she set his room right next to the front desk in case he needed anything during the night. Maria was so kind to my Uncle I couldn't even thank her enough, she was an angel in disguise.
The following day he left the Inn, arrived in New York and realized he left his bag behind. I phoned the Inn, spoke with Maria and she had the bag. She talked me through getting in touch with Fed Ex to set up a delivery label.
Maria truly restores faith in human kindness. It meant the world to my Uncle and it meant the world to us. Thank you Maria. God bless you.response / report this review -

I've been coming to this hotel for some years now when I work in the NYC/NJ area. My main thing when it comes to hotels/motels are cleanliness. I have to say that the rooms here you can smell that they have cleaned the rooms. The rooms smell fresh from outside which is a plus great job motel staff. Parking is all around the building and there places to eat around the area.

Nice hotel but they provided very limited resources. Only one bottle per day, rooms are small, sink was blocked, no moisturizer. They are saying 100 % smoke free but people were smoking there. The background sitting area is awsome. For Manhattan please choose route 129 bus. Some of the food joints like subway ,Bella , dunking are very nearer to this place

Ashanti who took my Reservation and Danica who check me in were absolutely amazing and super personable! They have the best customer service. I would definitely come back because of my experience with both ladies. I love Great faces representing the company. I will definitely recommend this place to people I know.

Newly remodeled rooms. Clean, cool and comfortable. If the rest of the staff is as wonderful as Danica, this is a top notch hotel. I assumed it was only a walk up, but there are two elevators to help us older, more tired folks out! Nice location too. The bonus is truck/bus parking. Easy in and out!

This Red Roof Plus was way better than the one we stayed the night before in VA (wasn't ''plus'' but it said renovated but not all rooms were). We stayed in 3rd floor but had hardwood/laminate floor and as a pet owner it gives you a peace of mind. No pet fee and room smelled clean. The bathroom could've been updated more but this isn't a 3 or 4 star so I don't expect too much of nice stuff. Staff was nice, although some male guests roaming and try to talk to you or stare at you wasn't very pleasant experience. They have designated pet area but it was on the other side of my room so my dog would use the bathroom before he gets there. You have to sign pet stay agreement. There are a lot of pet parents with their babies. Over all it was a good stay.

Great price & location for NYC which is right across the river. Room was clean, staff friendly. Big rig & tour bus parking also available. View of water around the back w lil park benches. Bus stop a couple traffic lights down the street that comes on the hour, $3.50 each way will get you to the port authority in NYC in 25-30 min. All around good experience, will prob be back!

My room was great, location, convenient, within walking distance of a collection of stores and places to eat Staff was friendly and complimented each other manager was too funny and the staff at check inFANTASTIC!!!!! wish I could stay longer, but nice . Clean. Friendly and parking was cool too. thanks priceline for finding this one and at a nice costs..

Danica is so awesome!!! If you ever need any help with anything she is the best person to talk to. So accomadating, and sweet. I have never met anyone so wonderful! To move to this area from a different part of the country, and meet someone who makes me feel so at home is a hard thing to find! This person should be promoted literally the nicest person ever! My only issue the rooms are kinda small for a king superior.
