The entire hotel smelled of smoke and other unknown irritants.
Unattended children were running through the lobby and both floors for hours screaming and playing. Dogs left unattended in rooms barked at anyone passing by. From the outside it looked inviting. Inside the hallways, common areas and the room were in obvious need of maintenance. I would say this hotel is a step down from the Trailer Park Boys situation. My wife and I did not stay the night but left after 3 hours, we both felt sick, uncomfortable and left did not request a refundjust left and returned home. Lesson learned..
Did miss the Christmas party we came for.
But on a positive note! If you wanna throw a party and get away with everything this is the placebring your A game and get away with it!
When entering doesn't seem that bad, free breakfast buffet with juice, waffles, fruit, yogurt and toast. That night was differentthin walls, could hear everyone including a very Large dog panting past my room, and children screaming at all hours. Housekeeping came by, we old them to come back later. They never came. Needed towels the next morning and called. Never came. Went looking for said towels, found a cart but no maid. While on the way, encountered crying girl exiting pool after an unfortunate find of excrement floating in the shallow end. We left a day early.
If you take your own pillows to this hotel, they won't provide housekeeping if you leave your pillow on the bed. They won't even touch the bathroom! High room rrates and you have to make your own bed and get clean towels! Solution: only stay one night or find some place else! It would have been so much easier to just post rules in the room or provide written notice st chack in. Think I deserve a rebate for doing the housekeeper's job!
No bad. A little pricey for a place that needs updating. My bedspread had a cut place in it. Still, pretty clean, decent amenities, and quick and friendly check in/out.
Love love love. The mirror on the wall in jacuzzi room was nice surprise!! Customer Service each time I have gone has always been on point. My room clean and the bathroom was clean. I will definitely be back.
Our first room smelled of smoke so they changed us to another. It smelled like wet dog but after dosing the carpets with Lysol spray we managed to improve the odor from wet dog to dog breath. Still not great but better than smoke and we were unwilling to try our luck on a third room.
The paint looks bad and numerous hasty repairs have obviously been made to this room. Sloppy workmanship, low maintenance and poorly cleaned. Oh, and there was a blood stain on the towel.
The staff was excellent and cordial. Breakfast included bagels, doughnuts, cereals, and the standard waffle maker.
Better than a $35 motel but for the money I'll stay somewhere else next time
I will start off by saying this, the young lady at the front desk was everything you could ask for when it comes to total customer satisfaction. She was very helpful, friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable of all aspects.
The room was very clean, presentable, and I couldn't have asked for anything more.
The king size bedroom is what I would call spacious and comfortable. I must now close my eyes and rest before the One Republic concert. I hope this was helpful. Oh yeah, there is a pool and small workout area on the main floor. Good day!!!
This place is a bit creepy! We got here on a Friday afternoon as we were visiting Oxford for a family event. There are not many hotels located in the Oxford area, so this was one of the closest to the location we were visiting. Upon arrival at the hotel, the parking lot had trash on the pavement, and there was little parking for the number of guests the hotel was set to accommodate. Because this hotel is "pet friendly", there were a bit of unusual smells in the hallways, which were likely related to pets. Also, this hotel is very rundown and needs a lot of repair and renovation work. On Friday night, the place seemed alright as the people here seemed better, but they were still sitting around drinking and smoking on the balcony outside. On Saturday night, however, this place turned into a party atmosphere. There were people roaming throughout the hallways carrying alcoholic beverages and were underdressed, doors being propped open with beer bottles, and there was one man roaming the hallways that was wearing makeup, lipstick, and women's clothing. Yes, this was a man! All of the people staying here seemed very creepy and weird. We were so disturbed of this atmosphere that we contemplated leaving the hotel and heading back home which is 4 hours away at 12:45am in the morning! The attendant at the front desk of the hotel seemed alright though. Everything was thankfully alright throughout the night, though, and we left promptly the next morning. As far as the cleanliness of our room, it was decent. The beds were clean, the sink was clean, but the bathroom was slightly dirty. The room was a little loud as people went through the hallways, though. Also, one more point to make is that although they do claim to offer hot breakfast, all they really have that is hot are waffles. The rest they offer is cereal and store-bought donuts. So, the breakfast was not impressive at all by any means. Overall, if you can afford something better than this place, or want somewhere that is family oriented, I would HIGHLY recommend HEADING ELSEWHERE. But, if you do not mind the party atmosphere, or the creepy people, then this place won't bother you.
Professional desk clerk, clean room, affordable room. Our room was 106 and I figured my stay would be short. However we were informed we would have an additional day for the fact of being after 3 am that last Sunday night early Monday morning.
Great Hotel. Great location. One of the best Red Roofs I've ever stayed in. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Beds and rooms were very clean and comfortable. They have an indoor pool. This is a hotel not a motel. Huge difference.
I don't even want to rate this place 1 star , this place is filthy , walked in smelled cigarettes, no carpet, floor was very dirty, layed on the bed then got up and pants were full of hair, bathroom floor was dirty , toliet had hair and dry pee all over it, jacuzzi was extremely dirty, had to clean it , had to clean the floor and the towel I used to clean it with was pitch black from all the dirt. wouldnt come here again, or recommend it.
Upon entering the dark room; we noticed the floors hadn't been swept or mopped, with no carpet as described, the toilet was covered in hair, the floor in the bathroom was filthy, the shower curtain rail was broken, the walls were covered in holes lazily filled with plaster with paint that didn't match, the door had a gap big enough for us to see the shadows of people walking by, there was trash from previous visitors was still on the floor, the phone in the room didn't even work, the comforters on the beds looked and felt dingy, and worst of all upon seeing the house keeping we discovered he looked like a homeless man who you wouldn't want to let into your room. Upon talking with the manager we received a very unprofessional and uncaring attitude that came with her response. Upon getting a refund we promptly left. Our best advice if you have nowhere else to stay choose your car or maybe a nice overpass.
We've been coming to this hotel for years. The recent renovation was nice, although a lot could be improved. It's the little things that matter, like broken slats on the heaters and other basic maintenance. This hotel used to be a five star for us, dependable and nice. Now it seems it's slipped to just dependable.
