Keith on the night shift is awesome. He is very thoughtful where he places me because I work 3rd shift. He tries to get me a room with the least amount of sun exposure.
Very friendly staff, free breakfast and coffee/juice. The staff was very helpful when needed. Thank u Red Roof Inn 💜💙💜💙
Great for the price. They keep it clean. Very simple though, no breakfast provided, houskeeping every 3 days. Some rooms don't have fridge and microwave, so be sure to ask for them if needed.
You get what you pay for
My wife and I stayed there for three days. It's the basics, small room, the bed, a little dresser w/ TV on top. Sink is outside of the restroom. No iron but you can ask for one at the front desk. That's the nice side of it.
The bad is : We arrived at 10 PM, the receptionist was a red-ish hair color lady, that looked more annoyed than anything else to get up and do her job. Didn't greet us, we actually were the ones initiating the conversation. We told her we had a reservation online and she asked us for ID and the credit card we used to reserve the room. Charged us for the room(less than kayak) and we thought it was a hold on our card. Two days later charge went through and we paid twice. Because she didn't want to bother to check our reservation to begin with. Now we're trying to get the refund 15 days later. Make sure you double check what and why they are charging you for.
Front desk personnel rude. Old building in disrepair. Sleeping room only. Really a Motel with outside entrance. No hair dryer. No breakfast. $127 a night before all fees and taxes, which, supposedly, includes a 15% discount. Newer hotels close by with amenities for $30 less a night before discount. Found out after writing the initial review that they actually have a $49.99 bereavement rate, which they denied when we explained that we needed to book three rooms due to a funeral. Pathetic.
Got ripped off by a third party booking. Paying for an extra 12 days. No refunds, no contesting and red roof acts like there's nothing they can do even though they are partners in crime with these online, redirecting, misleading scumbags. Now they are going to re-rent my room to someone else while I am still paying for it. As far as I am concerned they are just guilty at committing fraud as the people online. Oh and did I mention that the hotel was mediocre at best.
Nice clean room and the price is good lots of places around to eat
The rooms are set up nicely and well maintained; however, the first night of our 3 night stay we noticed blood on the inside and outside of the bathroom door so the next night after we returned from a family reunion the blood was still there, but the room was straightened up and cleaned otherwise. On the third morning we went ahead and let the office know and they said they would make certain is was cleaned off the door. We left and spent the whole day with family and returned at 2000 to find the room straightened up, yet the blood was still present on the door.
Located in an easily accessible area of the Rockford business district, the Inn was easy to find and close to many other useful businesses. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Service was friendly. We will be staying here again.
The hotel staff was rude to us and didn't provide us with basic cleaning services for dirty bed linen when asked. We eventually had to just get sheets and change them ourselves. Also they seemed to have a problem giving us clean towels.
Ac fan in room was loud. Room service didn't come everyday. Other than that, fine.
While hotel is no smoking the room had a heavy odor of smoke. However room was clean and furniture was in good condition. Up graded superior room for $5 more was well worth the cost ( has fridge a microwave and is larger). Hotel has strange practice of charging everyone $1.50 per day for using the in room safe and then crediting you that amount when you leave if you say you did not use the safe. Good location near I 90 tollway.
Very overpriced. Definitely not a $200 a night room. Clean but not worth the price. No amenities.
We had a great experience at this hotel! We only stayed for 1 night, but it was definitely a hotel I could see staying at for an extended length of time. The grab and go breakfast could use some improvementsthere really wasn't much at all. Other than that - great hotel!
