Great place. Right next to the villages and everything else you need.
Nice place to stay. Lots of amenities and friendly people. They keep it in good shape with no litter anywhere. Lots of daily activities from morning to night.
Been here since 2012 for winter months. Great neighbors. Paved roads. Lots of activities. You can even see a space shuttle go up in the eastern sky when they go up!
This is our second stay here in a 40’ 5th wheel. The new cable tv with Direct TV is a new addition with great picture quality. You may get a modem that connects to park cable for a $50 deposit for high speed Internet.
We spent last winter here for 2 month. My ONLY gripe was cable tv was not available as was advertised. HOWEVER. it's back as is internet access.
So, as an update from a previous review I didthis place is the best if you want a great price, location, and full of amenities.
Love it been going for 15 years love my trailer my neighbors love that area it's all good now starting to bring my relatives down and they are loving to
A great resort! Love everything about it. The bathrooms are spotless, the pool and hot tub are very clean, they have Pickleball, horseshoes, bocce ball, shuffleboard and so much more! The office staff are great and the night manager norm is a great guy! I cant say enough about recreation plantation!
A good 55+ camp ground. Clean and safe. Close to the villages and shopping.
Extremely clean. People seem to get along. No loitering.
Love the single stance there during the summer months. The Chicago Gal
Super clean RV park on Orange Lake. The older sites, closer to the clubhouse and pool, offer more trees, better shade. Excellent laundry facilities, with 6 to 8 washers, one of them front loading, large at each. Spic-n-spam air conditioned restroom and showers by each laundry facility. Close to antique shops in quaint McIntosh and Micanopy, towns founded in the mid 1800's. Only a few miles north to Gainesville, home of University of Florida, and it's famous Gators. There, you can find the modern Oaks Mall my favorite Fresh Market grocery store and many, many restaurants, movie and live theaters and tons of other activities in an active college town. Less than 2 hours to the west for Gulf beaches or to the east for Atlantic coast beaches.
Very nice park, we stayed for 10 days with our big rig. This park is not an RV park, it's a mobile home park with some RV sites. I was disappointed (since they have a 4.5 star rating) that most if not all RV sites are grass only and the one we had was very uneven, this is the only reason for my 3 star rating. We will likely return but will ask in advance if better sites are available. The park is very clean and well run, new site are under construction, and we may choose one of those next year if available.
