Avoid! The hotel was under construction when we stayed. We received no prior notice before arrival. The entire first floor was under construction so service was non existent. The outside sign was removed for construction so we were lucky to even find the hotel. The front entrance was under construction so we ended up having to search through the first floor of the parking garage, for enterprise next door, to find a dim creepy unsafe hallway to get entry. Service should notify customers about construction prior to arrival. Hotel needs to be clearly marked. Entrance should not be through a creepy back hallway in a parking garage even if you are under construction.
This hotel is no longer a Carlson hotel as of 11/1/16, I don't know what happened that they were dumped, Carlson is being very closed lipped about it. I made a reservation in May 2016 for the week of the presidential inauguration in January 2017. November 1 I got an email saying all reservations have been cancelled, call Carlson customer service for help. They say its not one of their hotels any more and there is nothing they can do. At this point every other hotel in DC is booked up or $1000 per night, prepaid nonrefundable, I have no choice but to cancel my trip. I am FURIOUS!!!! The email address the notification came from does not return messages, there is no other information anywhere on the web that I can find. This is intolerable, don't give them your business!! I am contacting the Better Business Bureau as soon as I can figure out what their new name is.
Thank you for the wonderful guest services shown to our clients. Very professional and friendly. Looking forward to seeing what the property looks like when finished with the remodel. The hotel is a short distance from DC so it's in a great location for my clients who work in the surrounding area.

I understand there is no easy way to do a renovation; but there was no attempt at all by the staff to act in a friendly manner. Took over 20 minutes to check in at what was left of the front desk (when I was first in line). Woke up to no hot water in the entire hotel. Waited three hours for it to be fixed and it never occurred. When I mentioned this to front desk I only received the reply "We know and are trying to fix it." No "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or anything remotely like that.
Again, I can understand that the hotel did need to be renovated, but there appeared to be zero attempt from an unfriendly staff to make our stay the least bit comfortable.
Parking was very confusing. Only highlight was the rooms were just finished. They were nice, but couldn't make up for everything else encountered outside of the room from the low hallway ceilings, unfriendly staff, and lack on amenities.
My first and last experience with a Radisson hotel.
The Radisson is a pleasant and affordable place to stay. It's location is not far from the subway station and ideal for a great selection of restruants that are within a walkable distance. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and overall the staff was nice to work with. There is construction going on, and has been for a year, but I can see the improvements made between the last time we stayed a year ago and now, so I'm assuming it's all for the better. They did a pretty decent job of making the place presentable and comfortable despite the construction, unlike other hotels I've stayed in.
