Really nice rooms. Gym and pool are great. The towels are amazing.

The hotel staff are all very helpful and friendly. Reasonable rates, a great full service bar and free parking. I had to deduct one star because my room was in need of some small repairs. I plan on staying here again.

Our room was on the 3rd floor. The hotel seemed to be close to full capacity. The room was quite considering how full they were. The room was clean. It was a pretty standard room. Nothing fancy. It was reassuring to see a security detail in the parking lot. Being able to open the windows in the room was a nice feature. No screen but it was 20 ish degrees im sure most / all bugs are dead.Thankfully we had this option because the thermostat didn't go blow 65. I know its fall but I need a cold or at least cool room to sleep. Opening the window helped. Staff was very nice and helpful.

I am here right now and this hotel is so amazing. Everyone is so nice here, and Adam the shuttle man is so awesome. I so wanna take a week vacation here next summer.

I absolutely love this Marriott. It feels like home when I come back to visit. Love the bar here and the the breakfast buffet is always delicious. Great little toiletries in the bathrooms and rooms are always spotless.

This hotel is just adequate. The bed was hard and the AC was really loud and broken so it never shut off. The pool looked nice but didn't swim. The location is great. You can walk anywhere in Providence or take the shuttle.

Nice hotel, fairly popular and reasonably busy. Rooms are nice but could use a bit of an upgrade. Rates were reasonable and I would definitely stay there again. Parking was almost full on a Wednesday night in September.

Great central location and loved the Concierge Lounge. Wish it were open even an hour later. Room was not well vacuumed, but otherwise very clean and really comfortable beds. Room came with fridge, but need to ask for microwave. Free and ample parking. Really personable and helpful staff that make you feel welcome. Pool looked amazing. Will definitely use this Marriott more often.

This hotel used to let locals swim in the pool, there was technically a fee but it was never enforced. It used to be a fun place to hang out and get drinks and go for a swim in the summer. Now they have hired staff to interrogate people and make everyone (even guests, apparently) wear a wristband. You can still buy a wristband, but it's $30/day! Might as well go to the Revere in Boston where it's $10, or one of the other nicer hotel pools around Boston that don't charge. I assume they will be letting some of their bar staff go as a result.

This hotel was much nicer than I expected. The rooms were average but the common areas were quite nice. The building is a little difficult to navigate but that's not a huge issue. I would go back.

Attended the NAACP Freedom fund breakfast. Excellent event and breakfast was great! Service was fast and efficient ambiance in the middle of providence was great!

Most friendly, attentive and helpful receptionists and staff.
We booked 5 rooms for our out of town relatives that were coming to celebrate my husband's birthday. The rooms were well equipped, clean and the beds comfortable. The only complaint is that there was no safe in the room for our valuables.
The building is old but they did some remodel to make it look stylish.
Excellent service in both bar, restaurant and pool area. Food was very good, specially the breakfast buffet.
Very nice pool area, however there were not enough chaises for the guests and also the pool is not heated (a big problem in RI where the temperature always drops at night). I will be writing a separate review for Aqua Providence - which is what the pool area bar is called.
The hotel is 5 minutes from all the main attractions in Providence (Waterfire, Federal Hill Restaurants, Providence Place Mall, The Vets). The hotel does provide a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes and can fit 15 people. They will take you to some of the main destinations and will pick you up. Just asks at the reception.
Again, the staff is their main asset and make you forget about the other small cons.response / report this review
