We had dinner at The Vig inside the Providence Hilton. It was exceptionally good and our server, Genesis, was outstanding. This restaurant has good vegetarian options, steaks, drinks and (my favorite) salads. Very highly recommend!

Nice even though they were having construction done in the lobby when I visited. Room was big and clean. Breakfast was ok but service was great.

Hotel is in good location in town. Easy access and parking available at hotel. Room clean, but on the small size. Even rooms in NYC are larger. Service at from desk was fine. The Vig (Hotel bar) had average food, beer select was goodbut maybe 6 or so listed were not available. But overall good place to grab late drink. I would go around town if you want dinner. Great selections in town.

No problem with the hotel -Rooms were comfortable - hotel centrally located - staff very accommodating from front desk to valet to concierge desk - Everyone greeted with a smile and offered assistance.

Hostess at the restaurant, however, needed some guest sensitivity training. When we arrived for brunch on Sunday morning at 10:00 am, the restaurant was sparsely crowded - Many empty booths and tables - some of which had not been cleaned yet. We were the first on line and she greeted us with "there will be somewhat of a wait for a table - I would suggest you take food to go" We looked at her like "what?" and said "no we would prefer to sit down and have breakfast in the restaurant" - plus we have a train to catch and really don't want to take food with us. She proceeded to tell us that she had tables that needed to be cleaned and it would be quite a wait!! We looked over at a table for two that had one dish on it and asked if that one could be cleaned off - to which she shrugged her shoulders unhappily and replied "well, now I have to ask my servers to clean tables" - Really??? that is not the guests problem! She proceeded to tell everyone on line that there would be a wait - Meanwhile a very nice server overheard the conversation and immediately cleaned off the table for two and several others around it - within minutes everyone was seated. There was no excuse for such a ridiculous attitude- she should have gone above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of appropriately.

Surprisingly upscale for being a former Holiday Inn that was remodeled within the last 10 years. Looks modern, clean and fresh. Rooms are spacious. Although it is not in the heart of Providence, it is walking distance to Atwells Avenue which is an amazing area to get authentic Italian food. Easily walkable to great night life and amazing restaurants as well.

Nice full service hotel within walking distance of many downtown destinations. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a terrific buffet breakfast that is free for HHonors gold members. The rooms feel a little bit dated and could use a few minor repairs. For example, there was a small tear in the carpet with exposed carpet nails in my room. Overall though this was a very nice place to stay with a great staff of employees.

Went to the Hilton for a senior brunch my school was holding. It was in a large ample room. We all sat down and waited to be called up for the buffet except when my table was called there were no plates. Once we got plates there was very little food left. They ran out of things pretty quickly but we're very nice and the establishment was really clean.

The hilton providence is a good hotel, they do everything a hotel is expected to do with kind staff door service and clean neat rooms each time. They hit all the marks but don't go above and beyond like most hotels. So it is a good hotel.

I stayed here on a sat night. The lobby area has plants which are nice. The lobby is small and it looks clean. The bathroom in my room had no fan. The room was small. I could hear everything outside the door. No breakfast included but I did have the breakfast buffet which was good. Base on this experience next time I'm in town Hilton will not my first choice. It's in a great location walking distance to the convention center. Perhaps my next stay will be better.

Pretty good hotel for a reasonable price, parking was a bit pricey though. This isn't by nicest hotel I've stayed in but it's no dump either, I'd say it is a little above average. The rooms are nice and average sized and have a good view of the city. I was disappointed at their pool and "gym" area but it wasn't too important. The staff here is really friendly and will help you out with pretty much anything. I was satisfied with my stay here.
