Facility is still pretty as an old theater but nooks and crannies need paint or polish. The particular show, "Melodies of Christmas", went well and sounded great. 4.5 stars of I could, just needs a touch of TLC in the corners to be worthy of big city status.

Saw the Charlie Bown's Christmas and was a good show. However it was a little short for $50 per person (average seats paid months in advance) and full of filler in an attempt to make it longer. Just make the ticket a little cheaper.

We always have a great time at Proctors. They always have a nice lineup of shows and make it easy to enjoy a night at the theater. Parking can be tricky on show night, so leave some extra time.

This is an amazing place. I have seen over 15 plays/ musicals here and have even been on stage (Performing). The sound system rocks and the seats are soft and comfy. The candy bar is great and the CAST crew (I am a member of) are super sweat and nice. The only thing I dislike is that I always seem to be cold there.

We went here to see a show, this was my 1st time being in the theater. It's hard to judge it for me because I haven't been in many other theaters like this aside from the Radio City hall I think it's called, and that was over 10 years ago. But back to Proctors it's really nice inside, My only wish is that the seats were a little softer. I think the cushions may be starting to wear thin but that's it.. Very nice place all in all!

The I luminate show was on of the best I have ever seen. It is state of the art entertainment with a fantastic story. This colorful adventure was interactive with a sound track that kept me from sitting still the entire show. Totally kid friendly and a breath of fresh air with all the remakes out there when it comes to shows. Proctor's is as beautiful as ever with a feeling of taking a step into the past. I for one am glad that this theater is here for my family and I to enjoy. If I were to complain about anything it would be the standard complaint over the cost of snacks and drinks. As for ticket price, I felt good about what I spent on the seats given the fantastic show my family and I watched. The talent of the characters took me to the I luminate world where I was swallowed up in LED fantasy. Pictures and video's were not allowed and shouldn't be. This show should not be viewed through a screen but with your imagination open. This will be something I will go and see again and highly recommend to anyone that has this show pass through their city.

Best place for entertainments, live shows, concerts and everything. No problem in parking and it's free after 6pm. Restaurants and bars are all walking distance. One of the best place in Schenectady you must visit.

My favorite local place to see off Broadway shows at a great price. The traditional elegant theater also has movies and other events for people to attend. Great host to the indoor farmers market in the winter. Wonderful experience!

Neil deGrasse Tyson's presentation on the Universe was wonderful and understandable for even us universally under-knowledgeable people. The great expanse which we are a particle in is mind boggling. Would highly recommend attending his presentations if the opportunity arises.

Proctors is the absolute jewel of Schenectady. It is a 90 year-old concert venue which has been beautifully restored over the years, as well as tastefully modernized to accommodate the bigger Broadway shows such as Phantom. Proctors offers a huge variety of performers, plays, and productions as well as hosting local graduations. My family and I have been to Proctors countless times and have never been disappointed. Tickets are available on-line or at the box office, where people are very helpful in choosing the right seats. Prices are moderate to expensive, but still less than you'd pay on Broadway for the same, if not better, quality of performance. There are also several restaurants in the vicinity, so have a great dinner and enjoy a fabulous show!

This is the best theater in the area with the best show. You can make it a great evening if you have dinner at one of the local restaurants, lots of options, all of them great.

Great shows, helpful staff, seats starting to age. We recently scored seats in front and were surprised at how narrow they were compared to seats in the main seating areas. Parking is good although options for dropping off visitors with limited mobility are limited.

Really great theater and pretty much the only reason to visit Schenectady these days. The venue is beautiful and the workers are helpful. If you get the chance, you have to check it out!

The balcony seats are awful! Very close together and NO leg room at all. I have bad knees and couldn't stretch my legs for 2.5 hours unless i got up. But i was sitting in the center of an isle. The atmosphere was really nice and the show was good, but i hope the seats on the floor are roomier!
