Beautiful area to take a hike, ride a bike and site see. We've seen Eagles and deer. This is an amazing park to bring the family !

When my husband got the brilliant idea to road trip through Wisconsin (starting in Door County and ending back home in Chicago I rolled my my eyes) in early spring ( I groaned) but I researched and had some great plans for our 4 year old until a snow storm in late April dumped 30” of snow. I must say this state park turned our trip around. Absolutely breath taking views, great hikes for all levels and the park staff we interacted with (Mike to buy the yearly sticker and Kathleen Harris at the Nature center) really went above and beyond. Mike was super helpful for getting us started and Kathleen did a great reading of The Lorax around the day time camp fire followed by a craft. She even showed my daughter how to get the chickadee to land on her hand with the help of other park goers (they love peanuts, who knew?), needless to save she was over the moon excited and has proudly informed everyone who would listen. If you have extra $38 get the yearly sticker good for all Wisconsin state parks (definitely a great cauze). Otherwise the $13 is well worth it. I always like to get my daughter outside and teach conservation because as the Lorax says unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, it’s not going to get better, it’s not. Visits like this certainty help with this education. #unless

This was is a little town in the woods. Camping, fishing, hiking, biking, swimming and beautiful views everywhere you look. You truly felt like you were alone in the woods when you are back at camp. The hiking and biking trails were nicely marked and easy to follow. Easy and harder trails available. The outdoor theater is a must go to! The people that worked there are very friendly and helpful. Campsite were huge and bathroom/ showers were convenient and clean. Firewood from lumberjack Lance and his wife sue! A truly fantastic park.

By far one of my favorite parks in all of Door County. The light house is beautiful and there are many scenic overlooks of the bay. Exiting the park puts you right in Fish Creek, great opportunity to grab something to eat.

Really spectacular park. If you're anywhere near Door County, this is the place to go. Huge; lovely, varied trails; beaches, bluffs, buildings, etc. I had some help from some really cool front desk people who recommended perfect spots for a nighttime walk as well as a daytime hike. Note that you can sleep inside the park—I didn't know that and wound up paying more to camp a mile or so away. Also note that the tower everyone recommends is gone and being rebuilt. We hiked along the northern part of the park and loved it. We looked across the bay towards the west at night and that was nice too. A great park.

I've come the the park every time i've been in the area. It's just nice. I took a hike this time and really enjoyed the different trains the hike took us through. The very popular lookout tower was closed. I remember doing that last time, but hopefully the fix it up and open it up again. Will go back most likely when i'm in town again.

One of the best state parks in Wisconsin! Awesome biking and hiking trails. Campsites are well maintained and bathroom are generally clean. The shower area could use some work due to over use and could use some updating. But the scenery makes up for it!

This is paradise. I don't know of any place that feels so peaceful as this park. For anyone who has read about the history of the area, you would know what I'm talking about. The history of this area takes you back to a quieter time, a simpler way of life. But by no means an easy way of life. Either way, I am drawn to this park year after year as are many others.

With the exception of my campsite (#783) this place is fantastic. Nice beach, great hikes, great area, great biking The facilities are nicely maintained. If you're near the beach, there's a pretty good concession stand for anything you might have forgotten. I'm giving it four stars though because Site 783 was THE WORST site that i could see in the park, particularly if you're tent camping. Fresh hard gravel to shred your tent floor, no decent trees to put up a hammock and pretty danged small. There are tons of good sites 783 is not one of them.

We camped in the Tennison camping site in late August 2016. The weather was beautiful and warm like summer, but there were a lot spiders- no problem with mosquitoes, though. We had plenty of room between us and our neighbors, it was nice and quiet at night, and not far from clean flush toilets. Small nice sandy beach, good trails, and nearby ships and restaurants were good. Bring your walking shoes, bikes, and boats- great exploring to do.
