700 acres of woods, prairie and a small conifer forest. 3 ponds to filter and clean runoff. plenty of wildlife. many bird, duck, deer as well as a muskrat lodge I found beside the 3rd pond. well maintained trails.

Nice trails right in the middle of the city, but not much to see. Still a peaceful walk!

Amazing place! Right in the city! Just wow. The rangers and guides are very knowledgeable, funny. We went for a fall foraging hike. There are walking and biking trails. Your kids and dogs will love it. Go!

Love this park. Very nearby and secluded. Tons of wildlife. Doesn't even require the annual pass.

Nice and beautiful place to walk. Very spacey, has lots of flowers, frogs, hawks and other birds, etc. Only down side is the fact that you can hear cars and sirens from the forest.

Best place to spend your time in the north side of Milwaukee and not get jumped, it's a truly excellent place to visit. There are trails that are surrounded by trees which in fall would be a true sight to see. Once the sun starts to settle down you can see the orange, red looking sky as the fireflies start to come out and shine. Would recommend for people who are just trying to escape the city life for awhile.

A hidden jem in the heart of Milwaukee's north side off of silver spring and Sherman. It's a quiet wooded escape from city life. Hike the trails, do some bird watching, stay for the natural light show at dusk in the summer. Lightening bugs everywhere - what a sight!
    Thanks, Havenwoods!

One of the most beautiful gems of Milwaukee, the wildlife sighting here is amazing so many different species of birds and butterflies in the Spring and Summer. It seems like you leave the city going inside which shows how really small we are compared to nature. I cannot wait until spring!!!!

Quiet nature preserve. Lots of trail choices. Unfortunately not everyone cleans up after their pet. We plan to spend more time there enjoying nature.
