Beautiful park on Lake Michigan. Bike, kite, and paddle boat rentals available in season. Beach, marina, War Memorial, and Art Museum nearby.

I was here for the Susan G. Komen walk/run. Parking is a bit tough to find during such a large event unless you pay a small fee. Great place otherwise to go for a relaxing afternoon walk, run, bike ride etc.. Great views of the lake, paid activities are available seasonally. I enjoy this area very much

Nice place to enjoy the outdoors doing what ever you feel like doing, every one is doing their own thing having a nice time. Running, biking, walking, fishing, kite flying or just enjoying the beautiful lake front.

Love Veterans Park! The breeze off of the lake is perfect on a hot summer day. Many places to walk and for those who enjoy water activities such as paddle boating and kayaking you can rent them at the lagoon. Bikes and other peddle cars are available for rent near the kite shop, which also happens to be one of my favorite spots to stop and get some true Wisconsin ice cream. My father has a brick with his name on it at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial so it is also a place that we stop by to remember those who heroically served our country.

It's great in summer because the temperature is often 20 degrees colder than a quarter-mile farther inland. There is a sheltered Pavilion with bathrooms, a store that sells hot dogs and hamburgers and ice cream as well as Kites and other things to do outside. There are paddle boat rentals on the Lagoon. There's a shop that rents pedal cars and big pedal bikes that can fit four adults and two kids. There are over two miles of paved trails that wind through the whole park. It's a great place to watch fireworks and the yearly Air Show. It's great for a random picnic and to watch the boats go by. There are many festivals held down here on these grounds.

Love coming out here with the family! Plenty of room to run around with a dog to chase a ball, lots of trails to bike and walk along, great views of the lake and downtown area, it's just an awesome place to be outside. The kite shop is a gem too. You don't see places like that anymore, and it's awesome for picking up a kite or other fun outdoor activity to take advantage of the lake breeze and time outside. Come back at the end of your day and grab a snack or some ice cream from the shop. Haven't done the bike, cart or boat rentals, but they're always busy and a great way to explore the park.

This reminds of the Chicago lakefront. It was pretty deserted and a little lackluster when I visited, but a solid place to take a stroll and enjoy some nature.

This is one of the best places in Milwaukee to spend time with kids. The Gift of Wings kite shop offers a huge variety of kites, and the huge grassy expanses of Veterans Park are perfect for flying them. The kite shop also offers a surprising selection of food items: pancakes, Milwaukee bratwurst, big pretzels, burgers, etc. In another part of the building bikes are rented at very reasonable rates. It is also a short walk through the park to Milwaukee's art museum, and the Museum has a beautiful cafe right on the lake. The Museum cafe has a good selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches, along with good wine and craft brews.

Veterans Park is a beautiful lakefront park right by downtown Milwaukee. In addition to the lakes natural beauty, you can enjoy lots of open space and tamrmacked pathways to run, ride or just walk along. There's plenty of free parking spots available except on special occasions like the Independence Day fireworks show and the Milwaukee Air and Water show. The iconic Milwaukee Art Museum is on the edge of the park, as is Discovery World. The park is within easy walking distance to many recreational, entertainment and dining options along the lakefront and in the downtown area. It's a great place to relax.
