I don't usually write reviews. However, this is a great place. Food is very inexpensive, delicious, and great portions like the 5$ pizzas at certain times. Lots of cheap drink choices and not as uncomfortable as other Oakland bars. Staff is pleasant. Highly recommend. This is a family place.

Papa Da Vincis Kitchen & Bar is a wonderful, authentic Italian bistro with everything you could ever wish for in terms of "Italy". The patrons are mostly large, well kept men in Armani suits flailing their hands around raucously, but don't worry, they're very well mannered .

The spaghetti will drop you to your knees..and don't get me going about that sauce. You might as well disown your family and beg Nonna Da Vinci to adopt you! If pasta ain't your thing, when in Rome, ask for "The Godfather" hoagie. He'll grant any hunger busting wish you could ever imagine. After your meal, you can cleanse your palette with some incredibly mouth watering Gelato, they have over 50+ flavors. Take that, Baskin Robbins!

If you're in the mood to boogie, they have an EXTENSIVE wine list. Mostly reds, though. The cute curly headed sommelier is one of the best this side of the Alps, they won't steer you wrong.

Overall this joint is a breathtaking experience, except for the off occasion they let that 109 year old in the Minions shirt fall asleep at the bar, he isn't very worldly. It takes away from the culture of Papa Da Vinci's main aesthetic.

Pizza was thin as paper. Ordered ahead of time then had to wait ten minutes just to be able to tell them I was there for pick up.

The man answering telephones today was kind of an a**hole to me on the phone, when i asked a simple question. Horrible experience. For corporate, try hiring people who dont treat potential customers like trash.

Papa's recently renovated, but are still basically a highway dive bar. Drink prices are acceptable, and they play important sports games on flatscreen. It used to be a great daring scene too, but after you meet a girl here and start to get serious and finally ask her to move in with you it turns out she's been seeing someone else like this whole time and has tentative plans to not only have him move in with her but to start a business together, this ridiculous custom stationary designing business that'll never take off. And then you spend like two years doing dead-end clerical work for a local unemployment office until you get an eggshell-white card in the mail, with subtle paisley inlay, inviting you to the wedding of Janet Thrush to Sleve McDichael and you have to run on down the street to the dive bar you met her at and drown your sorrows in a $5 Budweiser pitcher because it's Wednesday. 4/5 Pizza is pretty good too.

We are here in Oakland for a concert. If I could take this place back home with me, I would. The service was awesome, and I had the best buffalo chicken salad I've ever had in my life. The Hubs loved his burger as well. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
