I am getting second opinion and a lawyer!! Do not let this Dr touch you
Absolutely horrendous service from the primary care division. The phones frequently don’t work, the receptionist was rude and made me stand in front of her desk waiting for 10 minutes while she was doing paperwork that she easily put aside once she felt like speaking. She had an attitude and just seemed upset from what seem like a personal issue. This made me 10 minutes late to my appointment which almost got it cancelled. When I told the nurse what was the issue he sighed as if that were a regular occurrence. The ER on the other hand service was very efficient and fast, which was helpful.
My mother had major back surgery performed here and at first everything seemed ok. Now she’s been in 4 days longer then anticipated the nurses could careless about the patients. Multiple pages for help where ignored to point where my family and I had to assist our mother with her needs. The staff made us feel so uncomfortable when they told us how common it was for things to be stolen. They female nurse wanted to take our mothers purse and go through it. The icing on the cake is after all this the surgical team sewn the drain in my moms back which meant the had to operate AGAIN to remove the tube which was supposed to slide out. Totally unacceptable and we will be taking this to the director.
Id take this ER over Wilson or general any day, but still pretty hit or miss here. Part of it is probably because they're swamped from people who don't know the difference between an ER and a walk-in. Seems like the diagnosis we get most of the time is "we don't know what's wrong with you come back if it gets worse" the rest of the hospital is pretty top notch though.
I don't what has happened to Lourdes Hospital. I was in their ER recently and had the worst experience. Their staff was rude. They never check in on you they mostly sit at the desk eating. Monitors were going off for a while and no one responded to them. The nurse most of the time was no where to be found. I asked for a blanket when I first arrived and again after my x ray but never got one. I had a headache after an hour of listening to those monitors going off in my ear. These people need to be seriously retrained in how to deal with patients. The doctor I liked , but the rest of them need to learn that they are there to care for patients.
Worst hospital ever! All they care about is the money! Sit in the emergency room for hours!
I would give zero stars if I could. This is the worst hospital EVER. Triage nurse was nice but that's about where it ended. I had some Dr. named Abdul Arskif or something like that; he was extremely rude and wore far too much cologne. Like he bathed in cheap ass old spice, walking around smelling like a 2 dollar hoe and had the nerve to have an attitude. Anyway, no bedside manners whatsoever. Nurses chatting and giggling instead of doing their job, I mean the list goes on. Put it like this, if I was shot in front of this hospital airlift me somewhere else.
They gave my son prompt attention and all staff were very courteous. This is the exact opposite of other hospitals in Binghamton.
Everyone was super nice and ER response time was amazing.
But that's where the compliments end. They misdiagnosed my broken elbow, told me it was a sprain and then told me to move it as normal. Wouldn't give me pain meds, or a sling. If I had moved it as they instructed, I would've required surgery to repair the damage! Absolutely pathetic. When I saw my orthopedic surgeon he took 1 xray and pointed out it was clearly broken in 2.
Tonight my nephew was transported from the Lourdes ICU via helicopter to Albany. The care he received at Lourdes was outstanding. The compassion of the nurses and the doctor in the ICU was over the top. My nephew is not well, but he was taken care of expertly and with love. THANK YOU for all that you do.
Went to this hospital because it was in my insurance network. Got emergency services administered and months later got a bill from the doctor (ONLY the doctor, Everything else was covered by my insurance) because he was out of network. Now I'm stuck with a $831 bill that's going into collections because this dishonest hospital employs doctors that aren't partnered with the same insurance companies as the actual hospital. Don't give these thieves your business!
Love this hospital. Only one in town I trust. Every procedure I've had here was done with love.
Out of the many hospitals in our area this one is the country club of them all. Caring, respectful, clean, and 100% about the patient.
Very slow service in the ER. They literally forgot about my brother. Nurses were irritable esp the one with the purple.red streaks in her hair. Sitting around while not busy. Took an extra hour to get discharged. All they did was come in and handed a paper they printed for my brother. If I dident go out and ask how much longer. We prob would have still been there. Poor service. .
My Uncle needed feeding tube replaced. The ER Doctor was able to get it in without problem. The issue we had is waited over 2 hrs for x ray for placement. Thats ridiculous. Poor poor quality service.
Good hospital, caring, dedicated, knowledgeable nurses. Doctors seem few and far between and rarely see or speak with one but overall good hospital. Confronting to hear prayers being said and they have mass and access to the chapel where Catholic patients can receive the Eucharist.
My Son had a injury in December, a door shut on his finger and cut the tip off. He rushed to Lourdes hospital bringing the finger tip with him to hopefully have it reattached. He was sent through the fast track, the Nurse Practitioner said that she talked to the hand surgeon on the phone and he made the decision not reattach the finger tip with out seeing him. I asked her to please call a plastic surgeon in and she said she would not that I could call next day if I wanted. She said that typically they do not reattach fingers as she brushed me off and walked away from me. I wish that I had immediately had gone to another hospital that would have helped us instead being in shock I accepted this decision thinking that Lourdes was acting in our best interest. We followed the Nurse Practitioners directions and went to the hand surgeon the following day. He cut the finger down to the knuckle saying that was the best he could do for my son. Since then I have spoke to people under the same circumstances that have had positive out comes. Apparently Lourdes works with a different standard than the other hospitals in the area. My son is a avid sports player, he works with his hands and now due to the negligence of Lourdes Hospital he will struggle with this for the rest of his life
