Convinient Location but lacks a good customer service. Check-in process was very unprofessional. Not essentially rude but it felt like they don't care about guests at all. Rooms are not great as well. The carpet looks old and dirty. The pool is good enough but it was not heated as mentioned. There is free parking for guests. Not worth for the price.
1. Their WiFi only works in the Lobby.
2. Staff are friendly. Easy and fast checked in.
3. Worn furniture.
4. Smells of mildew. Signs of water damages in bathroom. No hot water supply for sink. Tub is clean.
5. Great location.
6. Free parking.
This hotel is exactly what you pay for. I stayed here for 32 dollars a night. Comfortable beds, everything is dated and they also put a hold on your card. The woman at the front desk was very concerned about getting the room key back, and there was a salesman in the front desk area that waa trying to sell us a timeshare. All in all though i would stay here again, its not the prettiest hotel but it gets the job done and its worth your money.
This is by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever stepped in, disgusting doesn't even start to describe this slum!
From employees not caring, to the rooms being a health hazard, I have over 25 individual pictures of just the inside of the room, let's say I didn't even try to use the toilet. The mirrors looked like someone spit on them and the visible mold and mildew was absolutely overwhelming, the smell/stench is unbearable.. I give great reviews yo whom deserves it but this is below the bottom if the barrel! This hotel should be shut down and bulldozer to the ground! I have plenty pics for whoever wants to see them.
Btw, when I see the name "CONTINENTAL PLAZA HOTEL, I assume it's a very nice and clean place of stay, not the dumpster down the alley!😠😠😠😠ðŸ˜
I stayed here Thurs-Tues and though it was a good price and convenient location, I would not recommend to anyone! The carpets were damp, the room was musty, broken chairs, worn-out beds, I found a baby roach, they charge for ice and everything else. I called to front office a total of 8 times during my stay and they did not answer once! On the second day, we weren't given any extra toilet paper and our gallon of water was split after the cleaning ladies went in. On the third day, we noticed the cleaning ladies went in because we had new towels and toilet paper but they didn't even make the beds! Nor did they change the sheets any of the days. From the start, we noticed the doors didn't shut well so would always tug on our door to assure it had locked especially since there were contently men hanging out outside their rooms which happen to be near ours. Kinda creepy! The last night of our stay, there were men outside drinking and blasting music past 1AM and our door randomly opened around 7AM! If it weren't for us utilizing the chain door guard, our door would have completely opened. Not my safest stay! And I know you have find better quality/features for the price!
I wish I could give this place a lower star Absolutely disgusting rooms - damp carpets, mold on the ceilings, poorly (or uncleaned) bathroom Everything that could be gross definitely was, and then some. I wasn't paying for the room, a friend was. Or I wouldn't have even stepped foot onto the property. I went to the Walgreens next door and bought bleach and wipes, and I wiped down every last touchable surface in that room. I used the entire container of bleach in the bathroom, and even then I still refused to shower without flip flops on. I always bring my own sheets when staying out, and praise all that is holy that I did this time. Miserable stay, definitely DO NOT recommend!!!!!
This hotel is the worst I ever been to. The first room we had the AC unit wasn't working, the shower faucet wad a water lick and the smell of old wet towels was awful, so they gave us a second room the second room smell clean at first by the time we came back to the room 2am the AC unit wasn't working, the smell of wet towels was there too and the bed sheets felt humid. Don't go here pick a 10$ more hotel room in a different way!!
Amazing for the price. No bugs. Loved the new bathroom. If you want a fridge or microwave in your room, you will have to rent it for $5 a day. Ice machine works with .25 and there's a microwave you can use at the lobby. The guy at the lobby is a lovely russian guy, he gives an outstanding customer service. Not even 5 stars hotels have given us a service like he did.
If I could give a half star rating I would. The name says hotel. This place is a motel and a horrible one at that. An animal shelter may have been better. The room I have did not have a working phone nor an iron. When I asked the front desk (had to walk down because they don't answer their phone) they gave me an iron. To top things off, the damn iron doesn't work. The bathroom is beyond disgusting a bird bath or the UFC reflection pond would be more sanitary.
Check in was quick and friendly. The location of the hotel was not what expected. The rooms face outward to the street, and the hotel is right behind a very heavy trafficked street. The noise of the cars is very loud at night. The pillows felt like they had not been changed for years. The bathtub was clogged, and it took a very long time for water to pass. Room service was efficient and very organized.
Had a 3 day 2 night stay at this location. We arrived thinking this was a good hotel based on the picture online which have to be 20 years ago. We got in the room this hotel was so outdated the outlet were coming out of the walls mirrors and bathroom fixtures rusted out. Carpet soiled. You can just tell the upkeep is horrible. Its a great location but they really need to update this hotel. You can tell where the ice machines used to stand. Im sorry but this is just a dirty hotel. Never experienced a hotel like this in all my visits. Make sure you choose the right hotel visiting it does affect your stay kind of dampened my stay here.
CHEAP and right around the corner from universal studios. Kinda grimy and not the cleanest, but worked for my needs of a place to sleep between park days. I would stay again.
It's a very good hotel in budget category with all basic amenities at a very good location near the universal studios resort. Location is amazing, with the most important attraction at a 15 mins walk, Walgreens at next door, restaurants nearby. I would recommend it to the travellers who just want to visit the beauty of Orlando.
The smell likes the hell..look at the TV in the room you will know where you are. They have the best location but I don't really know why they don't update their rooms. Not a lot of money to make the rooms clean and acceptable. Come on owner, 50" smart tv is $300 , new carpet $800, new toilet $100 mini refrigerator $50 new sink + base cabinet $300 . Total is $1500 for each room you can get minimum $80 per night easily much better than $40/night now. $40 *30= $1200. You will get your money back for only one and half month. I feel sorry for all your team.
Good:
Pool was heated, which was nice. The location really CANNOT be beat, and the staff were friendly and the room was always cleaned well.
Bad:
The AC unit took 2 days to actually start working, which was okay but the first night was super hot. Beds need an upgrade, and the floor by the sink was soaked, so tile there would help. There was no smoke detector, and that was concerning. No continental breakfast and you have to pay for your coffee in the morning.
Final Verdict:
This place is worth staying at if you want cheap access to I-drive (tourist locations), Universal, and other locations in Orlando easily. It is not a classy place to stay with many bells or whistles. It served my purposes.
