The staff were very nice and greeted me well, the hotel wasn't the cleanest. There were great views from our balcony on the ocean. I did not like that all balconies were connected so people could climb from one to another. Great tv channels and rooms. The food from the restaurant was decent, but was pretty pricey. Overall it was a nice hotel and would visit for a cheap vacation.
They charge you for everything, wanna park? It's $18 just to park. Wanna sit on The beach? You gotta rent a chair by the hour. The pool area is horrible & covered in 1000s of gnats. The workers park all their cars in the handicapped spots. Food is way overpriced for what it is, the drinks are also too expensive. I asked for a wheelchair for my grandpa & the wheelchair didn't even roll. Ive asked to talk ti the manager on 3 seperate occasion but they say he isn't here but it's been days. If you wanna waste your money & have a real bad time, come to ocean sky hotel & resort.
We stayed for 4 nights in room 317. This was part of a cruise package. The hotel is tired & especially our room. We did not have a sink plug. We did not have a mirror in the room. My wife had to use the bathroom mirror. The cleanliness was appalling. The room was not hoovered once & the bathroom floor still had the same sand on it that we brought in on our kit from the beach. The sides were not dusted as we dropped a few coffee granules the first night & they were still there when we checked out. The air conditioning constantly cut in & out all the time, making it hard to sleep. The balcony door did not open. When my wife mentioned this at check out, the first response was why did we not mention this before. My answer is that the housekeeper should have already reported the missing plug & that the balcony door did not open. Also the housekeeper should be doing the job correctly anyway. Would I recommend this hotel.NEVER!!
This was one of the few hotels open after Hurricane Irma. The room was made up of good linens and exhibited nice bath products. This hotel is a smoke free. Unfortunately, if guests decide to chain smoke on the outside patio, the smoke drafts in due to the hollow core doors used as outside doors. The front desk is responsive to incidents of smoking. I was disappointing by the mold all over the ceiling of the room caused by the air conditioning unit that is constantly running and lack of ventilation from the room. The main floor areas connecting to rooms reek of mold as well.
Have been staying at this hotel almost every year for past 10 years. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Great location and clean rooms. My only complaint is the over priced charge for parking daily and for umbrella and chairs for the beach per day. You now have to actually pay an extra $5 for a cushion for the lounge chair! I think $10 is enough per day and the least they could do is provide a chair cushion. Otherwise, everything was great.
My wife and I had a very poor experience at the Ocean Sky Resort and Hotel. We were sold on a 4 star hotel and resort and upon seeing the room, we were sorely disappointed.
The king, partial ocean view room was horrible, incredibly outdated, had a stench of acetone and appeared seedy. The room appeared to have several mold spores and was an utter disappointment. The sheets were yellowed and stained and we honestly didn't feel comfortable sleeping there.
When we left the room and checked out, the front desk agent offered to show us other rooms however our logic was if you allow one room to appear that way, then surely the rest couldn't be much better. We did explain the dilapidated condition the room was in - as our reason for not wanting to explore other rooms. She did advise us that we most likely would not be receiving a refund to which we said we would take it up with Southwest Hotels who cited this as a 4 star which it honestly could not be.
All in all, My wife and I just didn’t feel comfortable sleeping here, it was not relaxing, inviting nor comfortable. In my short time here, I could not - in good conscience - recommend someone to sleep here.
This hotel stay ruined my entire vacation. Not safe for kids to stay!!!
ATTN: Ocean Sky Hotel and ResortÂ

Issues:
1) Drilling the floor below 5-days in a row. Both of my toddlers could not enjoy afternoon nap due to constant drilling that starts at 9am and ends at 5pm.
2) Air Quality complaint due to whirl-pool renovation. Construction workers use gas operated masonry grinding tools that not only create massive clouds of dust but also toxic fumes from the grinder that burns the gas. Dust all around bar, restaurant and pool area throughout our 5 day stay. Could not even use outside bathroom facility due to clouds of dust. Had to bring kids to our rooms.
3) Noise complaint due to whirl-pool renovation. Grinding sound could be heard anywhere in the hotel and vicinity around hotel. Very disturbing and annoying.Â
4) Room cleaning is not provided on a daily basis, even after bringing this issue up to the front desk. After specifically telling front desk that we're leaving at 9am and will be back after 3pm the room is still not cleaned.
5) Beach not cleaned in a timely manner. At 9am nobody from Ocean Sky hotel bothered getting rid of the dead seagull laying on the sand in front of the hotel.
6) Tried to spend our day at the beach to stay away from the dust and noise, unfortunately hotel guests are not allowed to bring own chairs and umbrellas to the beach, but more than welcome to pay $40 for the beach chair and umbrella rental. Come on guys, there's construction going on near your pool !!!
7) Could not use the balcony to enjoy the view due to the noise and dust. Asked to be moved to another room, the one would've worked wasn't occupied but I was offered to take for $150 extra per night.
My entire vacation ruined due to this construction renovation that is going on. A bit of understanding would've been great. Will definitely seek for help from appropriate authority.
Location is great! Literally right on the beach!! Room is a good size with a private balcony and partial ocean view. On site restaurant and bar exist, but never seems to be staffed. I'm yet to see anyone in there. If you have a car, parking is not included in your stay and is $18 per day.
Clean rooms Hospitable staff..accommodating 2 our needs and little issues.. Great ocean views with floating glass balconies..its on the beach and the prices are reasonable. Not crazy bout parking but at least the valets the same as self parking. I'll be here for 7 days.. This is day 2. We'll see how it all pans out. So far.. So good.😉💖
Bad, bad, bad. I reserved a one bedroom suit. The division for the bedroom was a drape. Also the sofa bed was broken. The front office manager is not customer service incline nor the people at the front desk. Too expensive for what they can offer. The oceanfront is not oceanfront it is just a regular size window. I have stayed in better places for half of the price.
Front desk and main lobby beautiful. Dinning room food was good but never busy. Pool area was OK .I was disappointed to know we had to rent umbrellas and chairs at the beach. View of ocean from pool area was beautiful. I booked two rooms under my name but rooms were not next to each other. Rooms outdated and a bit small. Didn't supply bottled water which most hotels do. Also house keeping just OK. Some days only made bed and replaced towels. Could have been a little cleaner.
Location was easy to reach. Its about a mile (walking) from many good restaurants. Rooms are nice for the price. Good beach side amenities. You should know that when staying here, parking is an extra $18 a night extra per car. I didn't notice any nearby space to park for cheaper.
The room was perfect. I had a king-sized bed. Everything in my room was clean. Maid service every day. I think All rooms have balconies with a view of the beach & ocean.
I came during Spring Break week. It's wild!
Hundreds of College kids having a fantastic time & their very nice to all the people.
I'll be back.
