Not happy it was a vary cold night when I called to ask if there where rooms available they said yes so I went there with my boyfriend (who didn't have is id on him at the time )and the man i spoke to didn't say a guest has to have there id . We got there and I told a lady In the office I called and she was ready to help me till she asked if I had a guest and then told me how we couldn't stay even after I explained to her the situation. All in all it was a waste of time and the hotel had some weird characters outside and all so we walked down to the BATES MOTEL and they allowed us to stay with out his id the rooms there where so nice we stayed a week .

The people there are always in your business. They think everyone does drugs. The manager the white lady is the worst. Happy one day snapping on everybody the next. The a.c. blows so hot. It's cooler outside than it is in. And last but not least they have mice. Hundreds of them.

Zoe the owners seem to make an attempt at keeping this place reasonably well maintained and free of unwanted Riff Raff, the area in which it is located certainly works against these efforts. Overall, if you happen to be here in the downtown area of Lake Worth and you have nowhere to go, the new Sungate Motel wood beat sleeping in your car, unless you have a very nice car, at which point that might be the better option. Go over the bridge of Lake Avenue towards the beach, once over the bridge, look to the left. There is a corporate owned Hotel there that, if booked either well ahead of time, or at the last minute subject to availability, you'll pay barely anything more and you won't have to worry about the sound system in your car being removed by Hooligans while sleeping on a mattress that has been flipped over one too many times.

The management staff and owners are very rude.
They control every aspect of your visit.
They don't allow guests to visit you in your room.
They'll throw you out if they have any reason not to like you.
They have a big sign posted no refunds and this is so when they throw you out they don't have to refund you.
My neighbor with an adjoining door with smoking in the room.
They came in my room said I was smoking and threw me out I haven't smoked in 15 years.
Management was screaming to the top of his lungs insanely at me for no reason.

Okay so I booked this place through travelocity, and I go and get the hotel key at the office. I had to pick up a phone and call the guy at the office. He unlocked the door and the office was dirty and smelt of old smoke stench.
We get the room key and walk in and the smell of old distrusting smoke smell is all I smell. The bathroom floor and shower floor looked like it was grouted to match the mold that was there. The place is so gross, we spent 15 min in the room without sitting on any furnature and stood there and said this is a joke. The paint on the walls as and ceiling were peeling. So we walked out dropped off the keys in the drop box and just left. We pre paid for 3 days and I said forget not worth it. When we went to leave the guy wouldn't come to the door. I called Travelocity and told them and they said they couldn't get a hold of them. It's very sketchy and nasty. Wouldn't even give it a star if I didn't have to.response / report this review -

This is the worst motel ever that have bed bugs🐜 the manager screams for nothing bad staff the bed bug are in 33 31 and some else I'm telling not to waste your money 65$ isn,t bad but that the much money for that peace of junk.

Overall the rooms are clean and service has been great. Yes. some transients live here but respectful. You get what you pay for, $65 a night or $300 a week. Now that's a bargain in S FL.

People who stay here at Sun Gate Motel. Are quite friendly and very relaxed. My stay was very comfortable and relaxing. It almost made me feel like i was at home. Warming welcome from every employee and guests. I will continue to refer this location to any travelers or new resident trying to familiarize themselves to the area. Its very affordable and hassle free. Your stay will be delightful. Fyi (for your information) classic actor themed. Very fun and Zen.

Its like a family they people keep it nice its gated has a beautiful pool thats just the right temperature weekly rates and free breakfast patio area where people hang out and play cards and everything is quiet by 11 so no disturbances i recommend it way better than any other hotel ive been to on fedral!

This is a charming place, a family owned and operated gem in the middle of a war zone, I needed a room for a night, checked in and immdiately upon walking into the office the place was charming, friendly clean eccentric(in a great way) and inviting. The staff us friendly and informative, rooms large and clean, clean pool, the hot water could've been well hot, but other than that it was fantastic.

I NEVER write reviews but this place was terrible! After booking at this place they refused to let me stay. The owner is out of her mind. She is extremely rude and disrespectful. She is running a terrible business and claims to be a woman of God. But is swearing at people and making them feel extremely uncomfortable. On top of everything. She told me she would refund my money from when I booked and DID NOT. I would ever suggest this miserable excuse for a business to anyone.

Great place if your on a budget, don't come expecting a world class hotel. It's got a good shower interesting people and is a quest place to sleep after 11 pm. There is a train withing earshot but i only know that cause I was up a 330 talking to some of the other tenants
