My son and his girlfriend who is active duty Navy flew in from Washington for a 2 day stay in the BEAR TRAX CABIN with us. We arrived late on day one to find the hot tub was ice cold. It took until the next day for it to heat up. The next morning we tried to take showers but there was only enough hot water for 1 person to shower and not enough hot water to fill the jacuzzi tub at all. The screens were off the windows on the porch and just leaning against them, The bed frame down stairs was broke and completely rusted. There was a beer can and garbage under the bed. The morning we were leaving someone took a quick shower upstairs and it started leaking bad down into the mid level bathroom. The floor was molded and the flooring was peeling up. The ceiling in that bathroom was sagging from the water leak that was near the electrical making it very dangerous. We reported all this when we checked out and he said we should have told them the day before so they could fix it. Well we only had 1 day to spend in Gattlinburg and I was not staying there all day waiting on someone to fix obvious issues that should have been repaired before we arrived. The hot tub should have been turned on to warm up prior to our arrival or advertise it as a cold tub. The lack of hot water and the broken bed we dealt with but when we realized the bath upstairs was leaking to the mid level bathroom by the electrical where I was using a electric hair curler that is a safety hazard and very dangerous. I took pics and a video of all but he was not interested in seeing them. His attitude was unprofessional. This leak is in the pipes it is not from leaving a shower curtain out as he said because there was not any water on the bathroom floor upstairs and the mold and mildew has been there for a long time in the mid level bathroom. We live in Tennessee and go to Gattlinburg often but I will never stay with them again. The owners response is just a standard reply these issues were very visible before our arrival. The water leak was not noticed until our day of departure since we did not use that bathroom until we were leaving but the mold and mildew on the floor was very visible.

DO NOT STAY IN THE CUB HOUSE!!! We stayed there this past weekend and it was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. When we arrived, there was a man standing in the living room smoking who stated he was the maintenance man and seemed to have no idea we were coming. The cleaning company must have had no idea either since there was dog poop in the upstairs bedroom. Everything in there was old and dirty with the smell of smoke so strong as soon as you walked inside. All of my clothes still smell from being inside this cabin. There is not much room between the cabins and the parking is horrible. If you're in the upstairs bedroom with the lights on at night, the entire room and bathroom (with the door open) is completely visible to anyone outside on the street or in the nearby cabins. The pool is also right next to the cabin with the public bathrooms in the basement of the cabin. If you stay in the cabin when the pool is open, there will be people walking through the deck to get to the basement with little to no privacy.

I had family staying in another cabin at this resort that said it was way nicer. It was apparently privately owned while ours was owned by the resort. I still wouldn't recommend staying at any of the cabins as they are all right on top of each other with no view.

There are few pictures online, so this place was a pleasant surprise. 1 bedroom cabin has 2 back decks with hot tub and views to die for. Very spacious and clean. Cabins are secluded, but close to town. Staff knowledgeable and accommodating. Super easy check in and checkout. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this place. Incredible value.

Once at the main office they provide a map to your cabin that's about 1.5 miles away. The cabin I stayed in, Tranquility, was large but had poor design. The kitchen is extremely small, cabin is either cold or hot (nothing comfortable), bathrooms were tiny and the kitchen ware is horrible all of our food that we prepped was sticking to pans and burning.

I've been here for a little over a month staying in the weekly rentals due to loosing our place in fire! We had to buy all new furniture to put in the room due to it not being furnished. The day we moved in it was disgusting. Took us nearly 6 days to clean it to be able to bring my children in the room. Two days later my daughter woke up swollen. Noticed prob over 30 bites on her. Wasn't sure what it was until she was taken to the hospital and they pulled bed bugs out of her hair. I called the person that runs this dump (Dave) and he seemed like he just didn't care. The lady at hospital told me to call the Fire Marshal and the Building Inspector. So I did they came out right away and found bed bugs instantly. I was horrified! Have never seen a bed bug in my life. The Fire Marshal ordered (Dave) to have our room treated. The next day our air suddenly stop working. Went to look at breaker and he had taken the breaker out. We have now been with out air since the 26th of April. The windows in this apartment do not open as they are floor to ceiling and we have two small children living here. So the temperature gets to about 93° to 96° in here. He said that the law here says we don't have to have ac. So after calling the Fire Marshal back out here learned that he in fact does. And that there is still bed bugs in here. He refuses to fix the ac and the bed bug prob is a joke. We will be moving as it is very unsafe for my children and after three different hospital trips with my daughter and all of us are up with bites we can no longer deal with it. I would stay away from this place and I don't recommend it to anyone.we have asked over and over for the owners number and name. We have only been told his name is Mike. Dave will not give us the info to speak with him..Pretty sure the owner has no clue and if he does and this is how he runs a business then it needs to be shut down!!!!So when you come to this place run!!!!!

In reference to the response from the owner to my earlier review, It's pathetic to even have your name associated with anything to do with this slum! Whether it be handling the rent for a slumlord that rents out rooms that are filled with bedbugs, spiders, roaches, and a/c units that don't work and the rooms are reaching above 80 degrees during the day! Then we have the 1 tooth wonder "Dave" that is supposed to be maintenance / slumlord or whatever he's supposed to be.. mainly useless is a good term to describe him. It says ALOT about whoever the owner is just to have a dum* *ss like that handling his business. I've added some photos of some of the inhabitants in the building you "handle rent for!" Might want to pass them along to the owner and let him know what a great job his boy Dave and his crew of skanks is doing with the place!

Very nice place to stay over all. Drive to the cabins is kind of confusing and the main office is about 5 minutes away from the cabins but I would recommend it to those looking for a weekend getaway.

The resort is very near town which is a huge plus and the management did a great job , but the cabins are all cramped one on top of each other. Just like going at the beach when you see the neighbor hanging wet bathing suites ( yes that bad) at least in the cabin I got. The pictures don't show that the street where the pool is there are tons of cabins all cramped up. I will stick with my old goodie Sky Harbor much more privacy and a real mountain setting. I recommend Vrbo or homeaway.

We stayed at Above and Beyond the first week in February with 11 guests! We had nothing terrible to say at all about the cabin or staff! They did a wonderful job cleaning our cabin before we arrived. The rooms were perfect for what we needed, beds very comfortable, and very convenient location to downtown (without being too close to the hustle and bustle) and a local grocery store so you don't have to eat out all the time (even gave us a shopping card for discounts for groceries at check-in). The only critique we had is that we needed more pillows and blankets for those guests on the pull out couches. But other than that, we had a wonderful time! Would definitely stay here again!
