This hotel is in transition, being renovated and turning into a Country Inn & Suites. We opted for a jacuzzi king suite with balcony on the top floor overlooking the river. The value is simply unbeatable. Comfortable bed, nice view and amenities, and the location is ideal for our Gatlinburg visit.

Being that the hotel is under construction, there is drywall and tile dust in some of the public spaces including the elevator and entryway. Knowing this in advance, this is a non-issue for us. In fact, it was a draw for us as we were able to score these accommodations for 3 nights for under $200 (incl tax).

The hotel staff is incredible friendly and attentive.

We were a bit skeptical after reviewing photos and reading reviews, but we were happily surprised once we arrived. Super friendly staff, the rooms were exceptional and clean, and we had a nice view of the creek from our balcony. We will be returning!

Yes its kinda old and has some quirks but our room was clean where it counted and very reasonably priced compared to the rest of the area. Outside is a mess because of construction, this has no bearing on the room at all. Lady at desk was very nice. Yes she is from India, if you are racist then you will probably be offended by that. Pool is a tad small but there was no one in it but my grandson and I so not a big deal. I would not hesitate to stay there again and often especially given the price point and thus the value received.

I wasn't sure whether to choose three or four. After reading all of the terrible reviews for this place, we were very scared as to what we would see when we arrived. When we got here we were very pleasantly surprised. The check in woman was a little sassy but I'm not a butt hurt so I didn't let it bother me. I thanked her and went on my way.
My concerns are few in the room - the fridge exterior and some of the mirrors were a little dirty but the beds, tub, and everything else that mattered was clean.
I'd come back here if I'm ever again not able to get a spot at the Christmas place. This is a huge step up from the red roof down the road that we had to go to last time.

The hotel was extremely dirty. Hair on the bathroom floor mold on the shower curtain. A quarter inch of dirt was on top of the pipe leading from the bathroom sink. The balcony was filthy. Cigarette butts were all over the ground leading into the entrance. The entrance was filthy. Lobby smells like smoke. Would not recommend anyone stay there. We booked online and they refused to give us our money back.

ABSOLUTLEY FILTHY. If I could post pictures I would. My parents stayed in one room and my boyfriend and I in another. In our room there was hair everywhere in the shower, CRUMBS in my bed, the microwave was filthy, the jacuzzi looks like you'll get aids if you get in it, among many other things. In my parents room there was a USED CONDOM behind their bed. My boyfriend and I went to complain, the girl was nice, it was 12 am so it wasn't a manager and I wasn't going to be rude to her. She gave us keys to "nicer" rooms. We checked out these rooms. behind the bed of one room we found a pair of panties, behind the bed in the other room we found a pad. It's now 1 am and we honestly can't leave tonight and I don't know how I'm going to sleep here. Unknown bodily fluid stains on everything.

You get what you pay for!!!!! When you first walk in the floor was NASTY!!! The elevator was really disgusting! I wanted to leave but couldn't get our money back. When we got off the elevator I could tell that they were updating. There was an awful smell in the hallway though like old trash. The room didn't smell it had been updated. The mini frig was gross old food running down the side. The rest of room was fairly clean. The fire alarm cover was missing the outlet covers weren't screwed into the wall. There was mold around the edges of the tiny pool. The pool was way too hot. There were dirty band aids around the pool area. The front office staff was friendly. The worse part of the hotel was we went to eat and came back to someone entering our room. He had a small wrench in his hand. We went in behind him and he jumped and asked if this was our room. When asked what he was doing he never spoke just went to curtain rod looked at it then said did you call about uh something in your room? When we said no he just turned around and walked out. I had my husband pack all our stuff back in the car. I didn't feel comfortable leaving it in the room after that.

Had a great weekend at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. Even with renovations going on, everything was neat and clean. The pool was smaller than we expected but for the price and quality of the room, we were willing to overlook that. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Location was good. Room was good. Staff was good. Building was completely run down. Pool has some sort of film in it, so we refused to swim in it, but this was one of the reasons we picked this hotel.

We stayed in a newly renovated king room. The renovations looked nice at first but you could tell they were almost thrown together haphazardly when being done. The wall outlit fried my brand new phone charger and caused the fire alarm to go off. You could smell smoke but not see a fire. This caused me great worry and I'll never stay here again because it makes me think there are faulty wiring issues behind the walls in this place. Location was nice, outside pool looked ragged and was drained, the new indoor pool was absolutely tiny and didn't look clean. This is definitely the worst hotel stay I've been through.

This place was a nightmare. When I booked through a trusted travel site I thought I was booking a clean, fully functioning hotel and conference center. When I arrived the place looked like a ghost town with several buildings closed down, run down and boarded up. The signs weren't even able to be read due to fading and lack of upkeep. Come to find out, the MOTEL and former conference center was under construction and in the process of being franchised. All the features I booked for were closed and unavailable. The room was a mess, someone had used the bathroom and left it a mess. The 'private balcony' over looking the river really overlooked a parking lot.

This is not a place I felt comfortable allowing my 2 small daughters to sleep so I requested to cancel. I expressed how disappointed I was to arrive at such a run down hotel 4 hours from home on Memorial Day weekend when everything else would most likely be booked. The one staff member I encountered, Jessica, was the most unprofessional and inhospitable person I've ever met. She showed no sympathy and was short and rude. She rolled her eyes at my every word. I again stated how dissatisfied with my experience so far and that this could ruin our trip and her response was "we're under construction and being franchised, what the hell do you want me to do about it?" Which she screamed at me across the desk. It was at this point I told her, in not so pleasant terms, to get me her manager. She informed me that she was the manager. I told her to get me her boss/the owner of the hotel. She told me he was busy and could not be bothered with me. She told me 'my mouth' just got me charged a nights stay. She then left the front desk and did not return until the travel site I was canceling through called her to confirm the cancellation. She charged me for one nights stay because she was mad I called out her terrible customer service. Since I was cancelling through the site I booked from they credited me the charge for one night because they were also so appalled at her behavior (most of which they were able to hear through the phone since she was yelling). Did I mention the majority of this took place in front of my children? The owner, Mr. Patel (this was the only name she would give me), was never called. I was offered no apology. I was yelled at and blamed for the entire encounter. My husband contacted the police because her behavior was
verbal harassment. That too made her mad so she called the police as well?? Never once called the owner or honored my request to speak to a supervisor. Luckily an angel was on our side and we were able to get a fanatic room at The Inn at Christmas Place and enjoy a perfect family vacation. Unfortunately, those first 2 hours in Pigeon Forge were ruined for my daughters (1 and 9). They were scared, tired, hungry and confused. It saddens me that people like Jessica are employed in jobs where customer service and customer interactions are required. She needs to work in a field away from people.

The appearance of the hotel, the construction, the disappointment, the major differences in the online pictures were the issue at first. you get burned every now and then using travel sites and I understand that. I needed to cancel for those reasons. It was not personal, it was not related to staff or management. I stated this at the time of my requested cancellation. It was only when Jessica was so incredibly hateful and unprofessional that I commented on her performance as a 'manager.' It was a heated exchange and one that never should have happened. I hope that Comfort Inn and Suites, whom I HAVE contacted on a corporate level already, will not have a place for her when they take over ownership and management in July 2017.
