The woman at the desk when I checked in was THE MOST PROFESSIONAL STAFF PERSON I have encountered at Motel 6. She should be commended. Overall the caliber of your desk clerks is not what it needs to be, even at a budget operation.

Never again. It was clean, but it reeked of cleaner. The bed was super uncomfortable. The shower head was maybe five feet high. It was hard to shower being over five feet tall. The pool looked nice. The staff was nice. I guess it's OK if you're on a strict budget, but I'd spring and extra$30 to stay across the street at the holiday express.

Fair price for a fair room that was accompanied with good service. This area is near Joshua Tree and is somewhat secluded so if your looking for actionmay wanna pass this one up. If stargazing is your thingyou might not find a better spot.

The floor was so dirty! My wife got out of the shower, and walked about ten feet.and her feet were black with dirt. Come on! We know it's an inexpensive room, but the ONE THING we require is that the rooms are clean. We don't need fancy, we don't need a spabut I didn't even want to walk on the floor after seeing her feet all covered with dirt. Looks like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Gross!

The room was extremely clean except for the floor. My feet turned black from walking around on the floor without socks. It needed to be mopped. However. I love the staff and they were super friendly especially our maid. She was super helpful in letting us know what was going on in town so we had options of what to do while we were there. She was also courteous and polite. Loved her. I was disappointed there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. I'm not sure if your rooms come with those.

Wonderful experience, excellent value and friendly and professional staff. Everything I needed to get a great rest and recharge my batteries to continue my journey. I don't stay at motels often but I have had my share of experiences. I find that the motel 6 is the best value for the money and offers superior to higher priced motels.

What a quaint little town. Nice quiet and clean room. Friendly staff. It wasn't the hotels' fault, but it was a Sunday afternoon and I couldn't find a Fried Chicken Joint in Twenty-Nine Palms-----it left me a little irritated. All in all, a good place to stay and I would come back in a heartbeat.

New renovated rooms are very nice, price, location, very clean, they do not tolerate noise, managers get right to the problems room, if there is one.
Quiet and nice , you cannot ask for more. They change that high unreasonable right back to the normal rate that they had for many years so I'm back to stay as always. The rooms are always immaculately clean WiFi works great television is beautiful bed is comfortable. Conveniently located the staff is always friendly and helpful I've been saying at this Motel 6 for over 25 years when I'm in the area.response / report this review -

I liked that there was no carpet in the room. The staff was friendly. The room was in really good shape. The only complaint I have is that the room was not cleaned as well as I expect. The bathtub really needed cleaned. Other than that it was a good stay. Especially for the price.

Personally, I didn't mind the bare necessities provided at this Motel 6. There was a bed and a working bathroom, and that's what I needed for our visit to Joshua Tree. However, it did not meet the standards of the rest of my party who are used to Holiday Inn types of hotels. It did seem a bit strange to me that things we (in the US) consider basic amenities were not provided here.
The items that were clearly missing which are usually provided at hotels are shampoo / conditioner, tissues, hair dryer, more towels, a safe, free WiFi, and either a microwave, coffee-maker, or fridge. However, a microwave was available by the vending machines near​ the office, and ice machines were accessible in the laundry room as well.
We also expected to see brochures and maps of nearby attractions, but found no resource. (Maybe because there are no other attractions besides Joshua Tree?)
I figure we got what we paid for, and we enjoyed our affordable trip to Joshua Tree National Park. I also appreciated the attempts to have modernized decor.response / report this review -

We stayed here because we needed a room for a week at the last minute and it was one of the only available rooms left in the area.
We had never stayed at a Motel 6 before, we usually stay at Best Westerns or Holidays Inns if we want good value. I'm sure for the price of this place, it's okay, but we have never stayed in a hotel where they don't clean your room everyday or have a blow dryer. We thought that was a bit strange. The price was very good for the week though and so we made do. It could have been cleaner also. For a one night stay, it would be adequate, but a week was not the best.response / report this review -

The pool was fun my kids enjoyed it I loved the jacuzzi. They had only a smoking handicap room available so, I took it. But, when I showed up they worked miracles I got a 2 bed non smoking room. It was clean staff was very polite I enjoyed our weekend family get away.

I stayed in a room meant for a wheel-chair bound person. I wouldn't choose such a room in the future, but the experience does remind one of how fortunate most of us really are.
The bathroom sink needed the drain fixed and the shower area needed the drain cover permanently attached to the floor. (Room 124 if I recall.)
Otherwise the bed was fine and my photography course in Joshua Tree national Park went well.response / report this review
