Super average motel, but the price was good and the location was convenient. Also they have HBO!
Excellent place to hang your hat. Clean, safe, and a friendly staff. IF you're used to five star hotel you won't get the amenities here. Coffee and a clean room is what you get. We go to Joshua Tree every year at Thanksgiving and we ALWAYS stay at the High Desert Motel.
Clean and quiet rooms. A little old, but it's part of the charm
Comfy, convenient, quiet, inexpensive. Perfect for two nights outside Joshua Tree National Park.
Great price, Very clean, New microwave and New fridge. October 2017
A standard comparable motel. Fine for one night.
Great room, especially for the price! Super close to Joshua Tree National Park. Perfectly clean rooms. The wifi was strong, and they had a microwave and fridge in the room.
The rooms at the High Desert Motel are clean and comfortable but dated, having that familiar style favored in the 50s. However the owners appear to keep them well maintained and we had no complaints during our 2 night stay. One can easily see the motel from Hwy 62 and there's plenty of parking. The park entrance and center of town are close by and there's a small store with groceries and other convenience store items within easy walking distance. The pool was clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable. All in all it was a pleasant surprise given that it was our least expensive option.
Low cost, typical motel. It's got beds, bathroom with showers and clean rooms. Can't complain for the price. Old and dated generally but again, for the price you can't complain. Has a pool too. You have to pay 50 cents for ice.
good for a night if you're not looking for anything fancy.
Nice place. It's a basic motel -- clean and comfortable -- at a reasonable price.
Looks like a brand new but is older motel, inside the rooms. Well kept, older place. Would go back.
Nice King beds, clean bedding, clean carpets. Clean bathroom. Microwave and fridge. Good wifi and TV. Friendly attendant.
Initial impression of the office is poor because of the glass barrier with the round voice hole, denoting a higher crime area.
