Worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The bed sheets were stained, the rooms smelt like cigarettes even though we asked for a non-smoking room, and we were terrified to leave our room because there were police all over the place raiding a room on the first floor. There was a man who we are unsure if he was a guest or was homeless but he was drunk and barefoot hanging out by the elevated we were using to get our stuff to our rooms. He gave me the creeps and seemed to enjoy getting cigarette smoke all in the elevator and staring us down. The management up front, a young lady, was cold and unwelcoming. We will never stay at a motel 6 again. The only reason we stayed here was because they allowed pets, but there is no way we will ever pay for a motel 6 again just to feel unsafe and unclean all night. We still can’t believe how terrible it was.
Front desk clerks were amazing keep up the good work. I could not get maid service on Friday and When we did they never brought back our blanket or sheets or towels front desk had to take care of us. Could not get the room swept or mopped. This is the first time I have had a bad experience with this location. I think the holiday affected it So I let it slide this time. But won't let it next time
Considering the area and the recent history there it was actually a nice and clean room and a quiet night to go with it. What more can you ask for from a hotel with the type of history that place has. Getting to your room is the hard part. Once the door shuts behind you and you've made it, than you're good. The outside is still rough around the edges and that's because of the neighborhood it's in. They have security on duty but they aren't paying attention half the time and the placement of the office is totally wrong for the business. From where the office sits, there is no way for them to monitor what happens after someone checks in. Good job in renovations but it'll look worn down and beat like before if they don't get a handle on crowd control and unauthorized guests.
Decent room. No fridge or microwave. Was a no smoking room, yet had an ashtray with a no smoking sticker on it on the table. Saw a few “working girls” hanging out outside the hotel entranceI’m pretty confident they found some “work” Lol. Not the best of areas but felt safe.
The room was clean enough. I'd say 3.5 stars. But upon arrival (8pm) there were hookers hookin' outside the office. Along with at least 3-4 drug deals amongst other suspicious sketchy things.
No bed bugs. But while checking for them we did find a broken crack pipe between the mattress and box spring. :/
I had a couple of problems but management handled them to my satisfaction immediately. I would stay there again.
Thank you for your interest, that is what makes Motel 6 the best choice.
Respectfully
Mr. O'Neill
Clean, comfortable. Parking lot is lit up well. I'm a Union Millwright and have to go to work at different locations so it's nice to find out that there's a Motel6 at the location.
1st 5 minutes in the room, my 1 year old hands and feet were black from dirt on the floors (disgusting).. No answer from the front desk when I called over 10 times.. guest relations said they should have moved me but they did not. the sheets were also filthy. They had not been changed, the beds were just remade (hair, dirt & stains). The housekeeper told me I had to get linen from from desk. At check out, I told the guy at the desk about the bathroom sink (clogged, we had to brush our teeth in the the bathtub) & how filthy the room was & I guess it angered the manager on duty because she hit me with the door the she came out of and did not apologize, excuse herself and only gave me an angry hard look. The housekeeping supervisor should have inspected the room before I was allowed to check in & the sink should have also been reported to maintenance for repair.
I was able to get a last minute early check n. However, the room was so dirty I couldn't even sleep on the bed. The sheets weren't changed, I had to get clean towels because ours were so dirty. The top cover on the bed had stains. There was trash in the trash can. The floor had pet hair and other things. Desk had food crumbs. Tub was filthy.
The motel was actually better than I thought. I was expecting to see roaches crawling around the room but there was none. I didn't like the fact that I asked to get a non smoking room and it still smelt like smoke the guy at the front desk was very sweet. Would stay again :)
Very suitable for one night while long-range traveling. Not preferred for an extended stay.
Suitable for one night on interstate travel. Area not good for extended stay. Has acceptable normal Motel 6 amenities.
Stayed at the Motel 6 off 51st Ave for one week during March Madness. The room was significantly better priced than other motels downtown and well worth the cost. Room service brought bundles of towels every morning and i didn't see them stop working the whole time I was there. Super cool front desk staff and security during the PM shifts to sleep soundly without worries. I stay in hotels often and the AC/heater unit worked to above expectations. Very comfortable and useful room. Overall 5 star stay due to the value and professionalism.
I've staid at motels 6 before and never had such a bad experience like I did this past weekend. They messed up the date I was coming there. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. In a non smoking room, It was the curtains. They did change them out for us. The ceiling in the bathroom had water damage and was coming apart. The floor board trim was coming off the wall and you could see inside the wall. No shampoo or conditioner.
We were greeted by the best front desk personnel I've seen in a while, Ellen, she got us checked in and even moved our room to a non smoking after noticing we weren't smokers. She definitely needs a raise! The property looks nice on the outside but the elevator rocks back and forth upon getting on and off and seems very unstable. The blankets and sheets had stains on them, our non smoking room had an old cigarette smell and the water pressure in the shower was absolutely terrible, hardly able to shower in, which is terrible with the hot weather in Arizona. For one night at this motel we paid in total 114.00 dollars, I honestly don't believe it was worth more than 60.00 dollars but we were running out of options and didn't want to sleep in our car.
Rooms are TINY with only one chair. Excellent value however overall. good feeling, security guard walking around and very visual. He didn't however say anything to the 5 guys outside our room smoking marijuana, drinking beer, talking loudly and laughing until late into the night. Pool closes at 9 which I thought was way to early but overall a good experience for the money.
