Hotel experience at this location was great. Issue, no notice, hotel shut it's doors July 24 2016 with no know notice to its guest.

Use to be a great place when it was Comfort Inn now its the Plaza and they are not keeping up the place. Mold in half of the building. You can smell it walking through the halls. We had maggots (50+) fall from the ceiling one night, also roaches. No lights outside by the pool. Dirty pool lounge chairs. The new staff members are rude and need training in hospitality. Lots of visits by ambulances, probably due to the large amount of homeless drug addicts frequenting the hotel. Found several sleeping in the hallway. Almost seems like the owners dont want guests and are driving the place into the ground. One guest had a car jacking in their parking lot resulting in the car owner being dragged and injured. Their suites are very 70's porno chic. Suites patios are dirty and have burnt plastic tables and dirty broken chairs. Would not recommend staying here.

My wife and I were in town for Spring Training and had a booked a room with another hotel who ended up "losing" our reservation. Everywhere in the valley was booked it seemed. I stumbled across the Plaza Inn and by chance they had a room for us. Upon calling, I spoke with a young lady named Ashley who extremely helpful and professional. She had us come in and got us into a room right away. She went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and happy. We will be coming back to Phoenix next year and will definitely be staying here! Thank you Ashley and thank you Plaza Inn and Suites!

Made reservations through a company called Discover The World. The reservation was made at Comfort Inn, the reservations were made in January 2016. When we arrived at the hotel it had a name change PLAZA INN (REMEMBER THIS NAME). My son, 39yrs old and I came to Phoenix for a trip to Spring Training. Upon arrival we were told that the two beds were not available that the room only had a king. The front desk clerk was very rude and told me I was only charged $55.00 for each night when it normally $114.00 a night however I was charged $625.00+ for 6 nights. The rooms looked like an absolute DUMP! The entrance doors do not shut all the way so the bldg. was not very secure. Another guest told my son there was a gang at the opposite end of the hall and he should not exit the building that way
This is one place not to stay! There is a ton more I could say but I'm getting more pissed as I go. Oh I had to plunge the toilet myself.response / report this review -

This is no longer a Comfort Inn, another company has bought it. It is dirty, filthy. Homeless people and people taking drugs sit around outside at night, windows were broken out of a nice SUV. Wallpaper is loose, walls stained, dirty, dirt around the edge of all the floors and in rooms. In the bathroom the shower was moldy,fan didn't work. Police were there for criminal acts three times in 3 days. I heard a child cry and women scream and cry.
You pay for breakfast now. The sign out front changes the day before we arrived. Do Not Stay Here. It isn't safe or clean. The Hotel was close to where we were visiting family and it was for three days, we thought we could stick it out, but not happy about the decision.response / report this review -

We only stayed one night. The bed was very comfortable. The carpet of the hotel was a little dirty but honestly everything else was good. The breakfast only had sausages, biscuits, and cereal. It was good food but not many filling options. I would stay there again. The price is cheap and the hotel is a 6/10
