The entire stay was sub-par. The poor performance started at check-in, never ended.
I called to see if I could get early check-in. The person on the phone was rude and told me the request had to be made in person and not over the phone. When I got there the room wasn't ready and there was a line to leave your luggage with the bell hop. When the room was finally ready there was another line in the lobby to get onto the elevator. This was not a one off. The elevator lines in the lobby and wait times were consistent the entire trip. On average it would take 20-30 minutes to get an elevator from upstairs, and in the lobby even longer when lines formed. It was the topic of conversation of every guest in the hotel. The guests on lower levels quickly learned that if they hit the down button in order to go down the elevator would be full by the time it got to them. So they started hitting the up button and go for the ride so they could at least fit on. That of course meant on the upper floors when the elevator finally arrived it was always full from people riding it up in order to go down.
I ordered 2 Alfred Children's Concierge packages for my kids. Those of course never arrived. When I checked out the valet took over an hour to get my car. They warned at check-in it could take up to 45 minutes (which is ridiculous by itself) but of course not even that target could be reached.
The location is great for going to a show, but I would stay elsewhere even if it means a short walk.
Hotel lobby is really nice, location is really nice, staff was very pleasant but I would not stay here again. The rooms don't appear to have been updated in 30 years. The beds, sheets and pillows were in really bad shape. The elevators are always down and you have to plan an extra 30 to 45 minutes in your morning because you have to wait for the elevators. We actually had to start taking the elevators up, which were still sometimes full, in order to be able to go down.
Nice place. Great location. Rooms aren't the nicest but location makes up. Be prepared to wait for the elevators especially during peak hours. Very often they only had 2 working elevators for the main guest room floors.
This hotel is the pits! I stayed with a conference and did not first check reviews because the conference itself was booked at the hotel. slow elevators. Needed allow for 10 minutes each morning in order to even get into an elevator. Antiquated rooms;
I felt like I was back in the '80s. $70 per day for valet parking. Over the phone I was told if I left my car and didn't take it out for the duration of my stay that I would pay $70. They never said $70 per day regardless. When it was time to check out, no one told me it would take 45 minutes to retrieve my vehicle. Seems pretty important to tell someone that at check out, you think? Don't let pictures of the lobby fool you. That's about all they got going for them! Thank God it was a great conference but the Millennium stinks and I'll never stay again, even if they are a conference host.
Great location. Staff was pleasant. Bed was somewhat hard and at the age of 45 with an eh back, I didn't feel SO good first thing in the morning. Our window looked like it hadn't been washed in months and one of the elevators was kinda dirty. The room, though, seemed very clean and very roomy. Not the typical shoebox room in NY. Overall , it was a good experience. For the price, I just wish we had a pillow top bed, perhaps.
Just back from 5 days at the millennium Broadway. The staff were really nice, the guy on the concierge desk (sorry can't remember your name) was very friendly and helpful. Tim the doorman was an absolute star, our airport transfer didn't show up and we believe he went abve and beyond to help us, thank you Tim. The rooms are nice, we were on the 25th floor and had a good view of time square. We had a great stay. Don't listen to all the negative people this hotel is great. Great staff and great location, right in the heart of time square.
Our stay at the Millenium Broadway went great. The staff were very welcoming and the hotel's atmosphere was awesome. Our room was located on the 51st floor so we had a mesmerizing view. Lastly, the room itself was very comforting and the room essentials came in handy. Your stay at the hotel won't be forgetful.
Good overall hotel. Great location and staff. Beds could have been more comfortable and room didn't have a mini fridge. Plus the drawers opened by themselves. But the good overweights the bad.
This is a nice basic hotel. The location is GREAT and the front desk people were excellent. The rooms are good but the beds are not as comfortable as some of the "name brand" hotels. Also they don't provide a coffee maker, but we asked and they gave us one. Over all a good selection but not amazing.
This place is like stepping into a 1930's. The grandiose hallways, the rich look and feel of the lobby is impressive. Staff was excellent. The room was exactly as pictured. Did I mention the view from my window was amazing? The view, ah, amazing. The location is perfect, smack dab in the middle.
I only stayed for one night but it was an excellent stay. The room was very clean and impressive and offered great views of Times Square and Midtown. The front desk was extremely friendly and very helpful when I needed to leave my bags with them during an interview nearby. I would love to stay here again.
Amazing location. Rooms were clean and comfortable. They allowed us to check in early since they had a room available and their bag check was quick, efficient and friendly.
Our room had a small issue with a leak in the bathroom, but when we called the front desk it was fixed by the time we came back from dinner.
Centrally located to get to wherever you wish to get. You can hop on the subway and be to most parts of NY in 20min. Has a good gym. The rooms are spacious. Good amenities if you forget to bring a razor or deodorant. We loved the hotel.
Felt dirty, neglected, dated. Awful lobby scent.
Generally, this is a dated hotel and also shows signs of neglect. It feels old and unclean, and I will not be returning. I had the sense that dark colors were chosen for curtains and the room's carpet as a ploy to hide filth. Elevators felt unsteady and not smooth. If muzak was playing, I could not hear it over the gears and pulleys trying bravely to move the old thing.
The lobby is overly perfumed. It is not a light, pleasant scent, and it gave one of us a migraine. Although the room was uncomfortably warm, we were told the hotel's cooling system only works in the summer months.
This is right off Times Square, but it feels impossible to get away from the craziness. The glare from billboards even invades your room's privacy. If being surrounded by illuminated ads is your thing, great, but a few blocks further out would be preferable for our next trip.
If I could give it lower than one star I would. So I stayed here for 4 nights & the price for each night was $200 for two beds which is reasonable. My flight got cancelled due to a snow storm the day we were supposed to check out. For 1 extra night they charged $379 plus tax which is outrageous & they just took advantage of the weather to rip people off. Really rude service when I tried to ask a question & the beds were really hard. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. And now that I'm checking the prices the day after, they are offering $161 for one night. Horrible hotel and rip off.
