Elevators are old (you can call them vintage). Rooms were very clean and modern but our room was very small. The hotel staff used the same elevators as the guests which is fine, but I swear every time we used an elevator a guy with a cart of luggage crammed in and we could barely breathe.
The breakfast was OK (3 stars, maybe?). As Hilton diamond members we didn't have to pay for it, and it's a good thing because if we did I wouldn't have eaten there.
This hotel was ok, not horrible and not great. The basic amenities were all there, but it just felt worn and dingy. I know NYC hotels seem to think they can charge anything, so I guess $400+ only gets you an ok room. I had a queen bed and view of some internal alley with bright fluorescent lights. The cleanliness of the bathroom was good enough. I also used the gym which was in pretty poor condition. This hotel would be great for someone looking for a quiet place to stay and isn't too interested in a lobby area or amenities. Of course the location was great. The hot breakfast buffet had a lot of choices as well.
I stayed in room 1315. There was about a 15 minute wait for check in because the room was not ready. Check out was less than 120 seconds because we had no room charges. The room was very clean. A.C. worked perfectly. I'd stay here again for sure
Very clean. Cool features like controllable lights all over the room. Huge TV. Quiet. Breakfast was decent. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I paid for a "suite". Ha! The ceilings were so low, it's good that I'm short. The furniture looks like it was bought at a garage sale, the couch should be thrown away, it's so old and the mattress was more springs than padding. It was musty, the AC was so noisy, I left it off. The bathroom was outdated with ugly tile, very low water pressure in the shower and toilet. AND the lighting system!!! So antiquated. The room was dark and so unappealing. I had to move out of the Weston for they were booked when I needed to extend my stay. I paid the same amount at both hotels but I would never go back to the Hilton. My husband is a Hilton Honors member and this hotel lacks the Hilton quality we've come to expect.
A great locationwalking distance from lots of action and railway station. At tge same time in very quiet surroundings. Very friendly team
Room was a little dated but it was clean. King suite had a large patio with a good view. Digital key didn't work. Ice machine was out of order. Bag for the ice bucket was missing. Overall it was a decent hotel.
The location was great and a very short walk from Grand Central Station. The building is also very nice and unique. Rooms are simple and small but good for the area. Service was great and I have no critiques for the experience.
Location is great with access to metro nearby and tourist type areas. The room I stayed in had a nice few. Room cleaning was done in a timely manner. The room is spacious as well as the bathroom. Great price and would stay there again.
Conveniently located near Grand Central Station. Restaurants nearby in walking distance. Grab-n-go breakfast is okay, not great. You can tell the breakfast sandwiches in the case are previously frozen. Did not eat in the restaurant. Front Desk staff were very nice, along with bell men. Our bathtub didn't drain properly but maintenance arrived quickly right when we called. Room comes with coffee maker. I recommend a high corner room! You can see the Empire state building which was really cool. Good selection of snacks downstairs. No pool. Beds are comfy.
Hilton Manhattan is very nice and an excellent place to getaway with your significant other or for just a piece of mind. The only issue I have is the breakfast is $60. However, breakfast was severed buffet style and the food was fresh and good.
I stayed here from 4/14- to 4/6 and had a great stay. There was a miscommunication about the room type I booked, however, they took very good care of me to make it up. The room was small but it was clean and quiet. The location is wonderful. The front desk staff were very accommodating and the other staff were just as great. I would definitely stay here again.
Two Stars because the person who did the check in was nice, went out for a special occasion and when I came back only received bad service during my short stay. But everything started with the Reservations phone line I called a Hilton hotel that was closer to where I wanted to stay requesting a room with a Jacuzzi for a relaxing evening without our son, that'swhat I wanted, they redirected me to the 1-800 for reservations and the location I wanted was booked, I ask the person on the phone to help me find within the area a room with the accommodations I wanted, she told me the one available was in Manhattan east on 42 for more than double the price and I thought that for that price it was what I wanted, I ask multiple times for the Jacuzzi and even mentioned the special occasion and after I confirmed and I made the reservation; when I opened the room door it was totally a disappointment, room was small, low ceiling and some things were in a bad condition, the "Jacuzzi" was actually a bathtub with a jet system that didn't work and the control for the water temperature required instructions on the wall. I didn't let that ruin my good night of sleep but I could have the same experience for a quarter the price so even though I could pay for that it's just embarrassing that I make the mistake to trust Hilton line without looking at the hotel online myself, but I didn't have access to a computer at that moment and I was using my cellphone, so overall a bad experience I checked out as soon as possible.
All I ask for in a hotel is a clean room and a comfortable bed. They had both and I was pleasantly pleased. This hotel is also in a great location. 15 minute walk to Time Square and close to some great water views. The staff at the front desk were also pleasant. I only gave it four stars as I did get the breakfast and it wasn't worth the $25 they charge.
The location was excellent. Very close to Grand Central. The room was average by NYC standards and very quiet. Zero street noise in my room facing the courtyard. Paper thin walls however. It was very easy to hear conversations and crying babies in the rooms next to me. I'd recommend ear plugs. The staff was very helpful.
