I have purchased thousands of dollars of carpeting and hardwoods from Michael's over 15 years. I've always had a good experience. Burt takes great care of me. Prices are FANTASTIC. You always get to see the entire piece of carpeting you are buying and the staff has always been up front with me when buying seconds. I'm very confused about the negative reviews. I don't go anywhere else to buy flooring. And they can't control the carpet layers as they do not employ them. Some types of carpeting stretch more than others so beware and ask questions first.

Carpet price seemed good, but we were promised a $50 credit once additional roll of pad was brought back by installers and we are still waiting. It has been over 4 months.

First they came with two separate runs (terminology?). There was a slight color difference, but they offered us a $1.00 per sq foot credit if we went with it. We have not seen the credit going on 2+ years now.
The installers did a bad job. We have untrimmed pieces sticking out and ripples in the carpet. Our stairs were not trimmed correctly. We kept calling them and they kept promising they would be out. Haven't seen them to date. It looks terrible.
The only reason I gave them one star is the price, but I guess you get what you pay for.response / report this review
