Location is great. Rooms are roomy. Appliances are a bit dated but usable. Staff is friendly. We were there for a holiday so they were a bit flustered. Free happy hour at Whitelaw two blocks away make it worthwhile, until the buzz wears off. All in all I recommend it as long as you are not too pretentious.

Do not stay here. I do not write reviews ever, but this hotel was highly unprofessional. I was charged a smoking fee on accident for a neighbor who was smoking and was never notified of it until I checked my statements. Suprisingly the manager had apologized to us that evening for the smell of smoke. I have spent the last week trying to get a hold of the manager since he is the only that can refund me and each time I call he is unavailable or gone for the day. He has also not responded to my emails. For the same price you can stay somewhere else on south beach, and not deal with the hassle.

The two queen bed and pull out sofa bed rooms are spacious. Lots of mirrors throughout, but not enough lighting. The bathroom only had one light which was not centered in the bathroom. We were unable to use the bathroom to apply our make up due to the lighting. Pretty much did make up in the kitchen where there was better lighting and a mirror.

We were pleased with the Metropole. Good location and reasonable for what we got. Room was clean and nice size. Staff was very friendly. Building is a bit old, but room was in good condition. Bath room was a bit cramped. We were only there overnight before a cruise the next morning, but we enjoyed the stay in Miami Beach here.

Great Location, walking distance to everything. Beautiful clean rooms, and really nice staff. The only reason why I am giving this 3 stars is because the day we arrived the elevator was broken and no assistance was offered with our luggage, we had to walk to the third floor with a 50 pound luggage. Also our room was all the way in the back where they were doing construction on other buildings waking us up as early as 7am every morning. All in all we'd stay at this location again during our next visit as the elevator situation was fixed within hours and hopefully the next visit the construction will be done and it will be a peaceful wakeup call.

House keeping needs to improve. Waited a hour for wash rags and towels. Reception area is very small , only can hold 2 people max. Bathroom is very small. There is only one shower glass door so water gets all over the floor. tons of gnats all over the room but mostly in the bathroom. Asked for bleach to spray the room down cause housekeeping had nothing for the gnats. Became friends with people who were staying next door and they also has gnats. Bathroom toilet old and stained. Bedrooms small but work if you are only trying to sleep. Had to get dressed in the living room for more space. Living room has cow looking rug which was extremely dirty had hair and stains all over it.

Location was great. Close to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. Check-in was slow but staff was accommodating. Our first room was the size of a studio and faced Collins Ave and was noisy, even at night. Our second room was much larger, faced the courtyard and was very peaceful. The size of the rooms we stayed in differed even though they were the same price. We got fresh towels and linen for the bed on the third day of our stay, which was nice. There were some issues with cleanliness. Hair in the shower, which was not ours, marks on the pillows, and dishes/utensils that had food on them. Overall great stay because staff was so accommodating to our needs and polite/friendly during interactions.

Good location,rooms need repair. Shower does not have a door just a glass wall that only covers half the shower so water gets all over the floor. Has a kitchen if you are in a 1 bedroom the fridge is a mini fridge full fridge for suites with 2 bedrooms. Staff is accommodating for the most part. Parking was $43 a day and you have to pay a $100 incidental fee that you get back the night you leave. Overall I would recommend to a younger crowd who isn't hung up and staying super luxuriously.

Great value and location, my sister loved the full kitchen. The staff aren't stuck up "Miami bots" they are very nice and care for guest. This isn't a five star hotel, if that is what you are looking for. We stayed at Z Ocean Hotel before, a "five star" place and felt like the staff didn't care that we were on vacation and that they wanted us gone. Metropole staff are nice normal people. Research reviews and don't get surprised that the shower doesn't have much pressure. We will be staying at Metropole when visiting South Beach from now on!
