Good place to stay, especially the condo next door you need to book through HomeAway website. Location is great because it is on the main strip but also quiet end of Ocean Drive.

Ocean Five may not be a five star hotel but the staff certainly are. On arrival we were up-graded from a standard room to an apartment with a kitchen in a separate building along the street. The room was basic but quiet (surprisingly so for Ocean Drive) and very clean. One can always find something that can be improved and as Brits we would have preferred thicker toilet tissue!. However, the quality of the staff shone through when my husband became sick on the day we were due to return. Nothing was a problem from calling the doctor to enabling us to extend our stay on a daily basis until he was well enough to travel. Even more importantly, I felt they really CARED about our difficulties, especially when trying to re-book our return flight.

The hotel is good. TV wasnt working took 3 trips/calls before someone came-the next day. Besides that the staff were courteous and friendly.

The beds are platforms so literally one foot off the ground. The room smelled like boiled peanuts! The location is NOT on the beach. It is walking distance, but you would expect something better for the price. The bathroom was decent. The walll had patches like it still needed finishing touches. The sheets were as thin as the 1-ply tissue. The "free" breakfast was Not worth the time, it included (toast, cereal, and yogurt)!! So i ended up ordering food! The bell hop was the hardest worker and extremely genuine. The desk guys were pleasant.
