Visited the park for our first time during their holiday event. What an experience! ❤️🎄❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Well done staff and event organizers. As a former Disney employee I can say from experience, this event had the magic down! ❤️ It's no wonder families travel from out of state to visit this event. We will definitely be making this a part of our holiday traditions, and look forward to many more visits to explore more of the park throughout the year.

If you are visiting the Phoenix metro area with your family, this is a great, inexpensive, way to enjoy the evening. During the holidays, the place is very festive with Christmas lights everywhere. We spent $5 a head to ride the mini train, it was definitely worth it. There's a small snack shop (with ice cream!) and a scale model train building too. For a park operated by the city, it's awesome.

We absolutely love this place! We come here almost every weekend. There's so much to do and it's so multifaceted. The train rides are a blast, the little train village never gets old, the park is huge and there's always something more to discover. The snacks are very reasonably priced. The membership is really worth doing and they have members only events that help you skip the crowds.

Awesome place to take kids, and it is not too bad for adults either, a specially if you even remotely like trains. You can take a ride on a train and you can visit the exhibit hall with miniature trains. Prices for the tickets are very low, so no problem taking a lot of kids with you. Last thing they have large park area where you can do parties. Very cool!

McCormick Stillman Railroad Park is one of the best public spaces to bring your family, especially during the holidays. Children can ride the working railroad or the vintage carousel. The playground is stunning, with plenty of structures, slides & shade - hours of fun baked in. Plus there's a western town play area, pavilions for picnics, and a miniature train ride for the wee little ones. Decorated fantastically for the holiday season, you won't regret your stop at one of Scottsdale's public gems.

Fun park, playground is shaded really good, and there's a small water feature in it to cool down in the mist, only bad thing that visit was the worker that drove the small train and ran the one ride, she was young and had an attitude for sure. You could tell she hated her job. I think she enjoyed telling people waiting in line to ride the train that they had to wait another hour to ride the next time, and she told us the next ride was at 12:30 and I set my alarm on my phone and sure enough she had the train driving out of there at 11:57, so we missed it again!! My daughter didn't mind because we got to stay and play longer but I swear that young girl conductor with the attitude did it on purpose!! Still love the park though, hopefully she'll get fired soon and the park can go back to a fun experience again for me.

It's a great place for the whole family. It was cool being on a real train. The model trains are neat and there are many different sizes.

Love this place! Perfect for a wide range of ages. My kids are 3 and 1 and both love it, this last time I went I met a friend whose kids range from 4- 17 and everyone was able to find something entertaining for several hours. The tickets for the train/carousel are very reasonably priced.

This park is so much fun for kids and adults that enjoy trains. Since it is a City of Scottsdale park, it is budget/family friendly! Tickets to ride the train and merry-go-round are $1 each. The snack shop also has great ice cream. There is a lovely museum. The park does get busy, especially when the weather is nice. They have holiday lights and also summer concerts!

This park is for all train lovers. From the fully restored Engine and Pullman cars, to the scaled down train that takes you on a tour of the beautifully landscaped park and free kids play areas, to the building full of model trains dedicated to each and every age group, you will not be disappointed. There is a $2 fee to ride the train, carousel and view the museum and restored cars but otherwise it's all free! You may picnic, celebrate with a birthday party or just sit and chill out on a bench enjoying the Disney tunes coming from the carousel. There is also an ice cream shop where you can also buy gifts, drinks and snacks. You will love this place!

This park was a lot of fun! We were there for a few hours and didn't feel too overwhelmed. The train ride was fun and the carousel was fun for our little kids. It was 2 dollars for each, a little steep, but we enjoyed it. The trains are fun to see and there was at least a little nostalgia for some of our group that rode the train 25 years ago. The playground has water mist thing in the sand that caused the dirt to be wet and the kids playing there were quite dirty.

The park and play areas alone are beautiful places to spend a day, and then you add in a merry-go-round and trains, and you have one of the most memorable park experiences in the Phoenix area. Another plus is the kid meals prices are inexpensive, and so are the tickets for the train and merry-go-round. Lines become very long during the holiday season for the Christmas train so go on a night that is a little rainy and cool and enjoy some hot chocolate and half the wait time.

Ever since I moved to the Valley back in 1978, this has always been around. Over the years they have upgraded the park. For kids it is a fun place for them to play. You can take a trip on the miniature train around the park. It is great to hold parties at and you can reserve Ramadas. Even though it is next to Scottsdale road, it is still a quiet place. Fun for all.

An inexpensive, very kid friendly place to bring a family.
They have extensive playgrounds, model train areas, museums, a mini train to ride the family, and the large carousel.
The food and drink prices are not bad, although not super extensive, they are quite enough for a fun family outing. Other food options abound in the upscale neighborhood.
The model train museum has very nice, clean restrooms with changing stations in both the men's and women's.
Parking is generous off of the Indian Bend entrance just to the east of Scottsdale road.
Some of the activities require inexpensive tickets acquired in the ticket office.
The staff is generally helpful and reflect the kid orientation of the park.response / report this review
