If you can make it here for the breakfast buffet you will not be disappointed. This place has some of the best comfort food around.
Big portions, good price and service. It really tastes like home cooked meal. If we visit the area again, definitely we will dine there.
Just purchased an elderberry pie. It tastes amazing!! This is a wonderful place to eat at. Very friendly staff and outstanding food. Highly recommended!
This is an Amish style restaurant.
Love this place! A lot of food choices to choose from.
Excellent place to go if you want a meal that tastes like home made. They do have a kids and a Sr menu.
They have options on the menu where a whole meal can be brought out for a sit down family style meal. Instead of everyone ordering separate items, one main dish and sides are brought out.
Service was awesome.
If you're looking for something unique for yourself or as a gift, you will find something here.
Great homemade food, clean. Delicious homemade pies and cookies at the counter on your way out. I drive an hour to get there.
Very tasty food and many options at the hot buffet. They always have chicken, pork and beef options on the buffet. Great place to go for comfort foods. And don't forget to take home an amazing pie on your way out (if they have any left).
Shocked at lack of care at this last visit. This used to be a great stop but now has proven to have taken a dive. From rotting salad lettuce for the salad bar to the worst burger of my life with a store bought cheap patty vs homemade like they used to do, it was bad.
THE Place to Eat in Middlefield!
These negative reviews are hard to believe! Tried the buffet & was not disappointed. The roast pork with gravy & mashed potatoes, was delicious & tender. All salads fresh & appetizing. The price was about $15 a person for adults but you do get your money's worth. Waitress was polite & attentive. Gift shop is huge & has interesting items to browse. Pricey for the tourists, tho. Pleasant dining atmosphere for families.
TERRIBLE. food is not actually amish, premade. Bad service. When we ordered macaroni and cheese they served it to us extremely late and with uncooked noodles and there isnt any actual cheese, just a mac and cheese soup.
Met some friends here for lunch. Had the warm buffet and salad bar. The food was delicious and tasty. Service was excellent and friendly.I definitely look forward to returning here again, for more. The desserts are awesome. A great Amish bakery area as well. Take some of those baked goods to go.
First ever visit and both of us ended up with tummy issues so we will not go back.
You go there for the succulent fried chicken, juicy pot roast and Amish-style noodles over mashed potatoes. And to view hand-made quilts. And purchase souvenirs like homemade jellies and jams, honey, and maple syrup.
The restaurant was nice but the food not so much. We ordered the family style dinner. The chicken was not crispy and the breading was wet. The cooked carrots were so overdone it was like eating baby food. The stuffing is not stuffing but largely chopped left over dinner rolls with no spice and the mashed potatoes werent smooth but rather hard and stiff. We used to go to this restaurant all the time when our kids were young and it was much better.
