The tour is well worth the money. They are a Union shop and I appreciate their dedication to the public. The workers there are really skilled tradesmen and impressive to watch how much detail that goes into their work. If you have kids that like baseball you need to take them to see what all goes into making a MLB bat. The history and impressive client list will keep your attention for as long as you can stay. I try to go visit at least once a year and just overwhelming everytime I see it.

I was only in town for a couple days, but made time to swing by. The museum was great, tons of history. Got to hold some old game used bats. Tour was impressive! Seeing how quickly a bat is created was impressive. And I got a free mini-bat at the end. I would highly recommend for any baseball fans out there.

You should definitely check out the Lego exhibit they have going on right now! It was really cool! They have "to scale" baseball stadiums and a lot of other cool baseball related Legos items. My son wanted to go home and make one himself!

This place is great. Pick a time to go for a tour and then get there early. You get to walk through a museum where you can hold game-used bats from Hall of Fame players. Or you can test your arm pitching speed or you can stand behind a catcher and see what it is like to be the Umpire in a 100 mile per hour fastball. There is a lot of baseball history to read and see in that one room.
The tour is great, taking you through how bats were first made the design of bats, and players special requests. They show you everything from their selection of wood to how they dry cut and Mill modern bats. And then at the end they stamp on the iconic Louisville Slugger emblem.response / report this review -

A lot of fun to see the production facilities for these baseball bats, they have a really nice tour with equipment running, videos, and knowledgeable guides. The museum was well done also and the baseball fans among us reverently donned gloves to be able to swing bats from some of their favorite players. For a small fee you can also try out a batting cage .. we won't discuss how well I did with that! Well worth a trip, good for all ages, as well as those that are only casually interested in baseball.

We stopped here last minute on our way through Louisville and I am glad we did. What fun!!! If your kids are "ballers", heck even if they aren't, I think they would like this place. The Lego exhibit was super cool! The tour was interesting. My kids really liked all the baseball facts in the museum and it was very hands on. I would recommend checking it out.

Had a great time at the Louisville Slugger Museum. I took the tour and it was great and not very long. They give you a free mini bay at the end too! If you go after 6 pm I believe it's cheaper. I also did the batting cages. It was only $2 I think and a lot of fun.

Very cool place, no stickers for my traveling pelican cases(huge bummer).
T-Shirts are good for people who don't really care, but if your a muscular, or trim person and want your shirt to fit like it should then don't bother. Historically this place is really cool, you and your kids or whoever is with you will have a good time. Lots of places to visit within walking distance. Parking garage connected to the rear of the building, if you have a large work truck like I did you'll need to park somewhere else because the garage only fits vehicles under 7' tall.response / report this review -

Fantastic museum that every sport fan must see! The museum had a tour of the factory that showed how the bats were made, the history, and the guide talked about what each baseball player liked to order. Everyone gets a small bat at the end of the tour. Micah, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and had funny jokes. There is a batting cage that you can try, a few lego stadiums of famous baseball parks, life size players that you can take a picture with, and lots of fun baseball trivia/memorabilia. Plus a nice gift shop with bats that you can personalize.

The Louisville Slugger Museum is a must for any die hard Baseball fan! It is along the lines of Cooperstown for bats. Going down the street on your way to the museum you will see replica bats of several Baseball great from Babe Ruth to Jackie Robinson. Then when you arrive you see the giant bat outside the museum which is great for a Photo opportunity. The tour is fun and interactive. There are several exhibits and also a batting cages for the young up and comers or those trying look like we know what we are doing. The gift shop is really cool and sell all types of stuff at good prices also you can get your very own personalized Bat in the style of your choosing.

Really awesome museum in Louisville! And great value. For the entry fee you get to see how the bats are made, you get a souvenir mini bat, and get to see some cool exhibits. My favorite part was the area where you could hold game used bats from famous players. I got to hold a Mickey Mantle game used bat! If you have any interest in baseball and are in Louisville you have to check this out. It's very well done.

You can't go to Louisville without getting a slugger! In fact, there's a giant wooden bat outside the entrance that's bigger than the museum itself! You can't miss it!
This was a great, interactive museum. The tour was nice, except tough to hear in some areas, but we learned how the bats were handmade, the types of wood used, and even got to see them being made. I was amazed at how precise they are. Then at the end of the tour you get a complimentary, authentic mini bat!
The best part of the experience is a personalized, original Louisville Slugger that you can purchase in the gift shop. Whether you're a baseball fan or not, you will appreciate this museum!response / report this review -

Awesome museum and tour that will take you several hours. It's great for kids as well, but avoid bringing really small children.
A highlight is being able to hold the bats of several superstars old and new.

Have been to the famous Slugger Museum. Seeing all the famous baseball outfits is just outstanding. The factory tour is neat and have never gotten tired of going to it. In fact, just about every time that I see the Museum, I always opt for the factory tour too. Almost forgot about the small bats that you can get with going to the factory tour (which I collected about two of these). This is fun for kids and adults.

This was a great place to kill a few hours. Paying for the tour was worth the money, even for our non-baseball fan party members. Watching how they make the bats and the tremendous variety that they come in was astounding. Would you believe cutting a bat takes only about 30 seconds with modern equipment?
I could have spent several hours just in the museum with the memorabilia and interactive exhibits. I'd love to go back here again.response / report this review
