I'm giving this college 3 out of 5 stars because it needs improvement and organization. It is a decent school with people who do work with you on your issues with financial aid, courses, etc. Here's where it needs improvement. Communication and organization. Communication is ONLY decent when you have met the ones you need to talk to in person, or through the online chat. NEVER CALL THEM FOR ANYTHING! I'm not just saying that. You will be placed on hold for hours or you'll be past from one person to the next by phone. I'm not kidding. If you have a computer, I suggest that you go to the help center for online chat. Or scroll down to the bottom of the site and you should see the, "contact us" link. If you click on it, you should see a link that offers you 24/7 help by phone or online chat. Always choose the online chat. Sometimes, when you're talking to someone, it may take them a min to respond but its better than to sit on the phone listing to an automatic voice message on repeat for 10 minutes or more. In person (or face time as some call it), you're more likely to have your issues fixed. I've had issues with them before but each time Ive went in personally to address them, they were fixed. I've even had some issues fixed through the chat before I even walked on campus. The organization issue looks like its going to be fixed over time as they are changing the site and offices around.

I graduated from here with an AAS Degree and a Certificate in Multimedia Communications Arts in 2013. I loved the Communication Arts & Technology Program. I worked here too as a Lab Technician for the program and loved the photo studio. If you are interested in photography, graphic arts and advertising, video production, web design, or art in general, you will love this branch of the schools. I found it challenging and rewarding all at the same time and the pricing was fair and very affordable. I learned alot while at this college.

I graduated from the nursing program here. After getting out into the medical field and comparing the graduates from other associates degree programs to people I went to school with, I'd hire a JCTC grad any day over someone from the other places. Not only that but my student loan bills are soooooo much lower than other people's. This place is hard to get into but well worth it once you do.

JCTC is the perfect example of the old adage"you get what you pay for." The courses do a very poor job of preparing students for moving on to better learning institutions. I speak mostly of the math and science courses which I found particularly infuriating. Too often I was forced to seek help outside the college because the instructor and or course materials did not provide me with the information necessary to complete the course. I highly recommend you invest your time and money elsewhere.

I'm only giving this college a one star because I can't give it zero.

I have had the worst experience ever trying to attend college at this campus. From the school not verifying my student loan in time for classes to them dropping me from every class I was enrolled in. The money from the student loan has already been dispersed to the college, but now I have to go through the process of re-enrolling according to them. Classes have been going on for three weeks now, and I've attended each day they were held. Now I will miss tests in my MT 150 class thanks to the college.

It's ridiculous that a college that is supposed to help their students is so negligent. They don't help at all, even when you call them. One person will tell you one story and then the next time you call they will tell you something else. Their phones don't even connect to the campus but go to an offsite location where no one can actually be of any assistance.

I would rather attend Ivy Tech or Galen for my nursing degree. Thanks for nothing JCTC.
