I frequently stop in to the Lotte while walking around New York, and finally stayed there this year in The Towers part of the hotel and was pretty underwhelmed. The experience just didn't feel five star at all in the way of service, with front desk agents seemingly interested in providing a great experience. The room itself was nice, and a very good size for NY, but at this price (~500) I won't be back because of the service. I used to work in Vegas in similar VIP/high end parts of resorts and service like that would have never been tolerated. The person checking us in spent half the time talking to a colleague. The gym they had was pretty decent, but I also just found the lobby/property as a whole to be lacking. There was no grand area or place where you were left thinking "wow talk about luxury." The stairs in the front going up are beautiful but it is just such a compressed space, particularly in the check in area.

As I was walking by this historic hotel, I stopped to take pictures. A gentleman employee, Maurice, was standing by the entrance and offered me a tour, because of my interest.
I was able to view several of the public rooms, and was amazed at the oppulence of this grand hotel!

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The lobby and gardens are decorated for Christmas and it looks amazing. The staff are very helpful & friendly. The hotel is in a great location. Close to Rockefeller, Central Park & Times Square, along with all other local attractions.

Awesome location, very friendly staff, the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. But I don’t think I will stay here again because I felt like the carpet in the room was exceptionally very dirty! The beds or weren’t that bad a lot of pillows which is cool . TV remote was difficult to maneuver but I guess that’s expected for hotels and of course the selection channels were limited . It’s definitely not an excellent hotel it’s just A good Hotel

Service from all excellent. Special bar of only the best of the best wonderful. Manager of that bar without equal. Banquet: at cocktail time food passed around was more than first class. Fresh shrimp were firm, perfect t to bite into, probably the finest shrimp of my almost 80 year life time.

Had an awesome stay at the Lotte New York Palace while celebrating an anniversary. Paul at the front desk went way out of his way to take great care of us. We really appreciated the great hospitality shown at this establishment. Five Stars!

This is a first-class hotel and site for conferences or meetings. Their architecture and art are awesome. I loved the restaurants and bars in the hotel.

Greg and the Lotte hotel saved me. I was staying at another hotel that ended up being a bit of a nightmare and I had to leave. At 4:30am I am calling hotel after hotel to see if any had vacancy/the type of room I needed. I spoke with Greg and he was very sympathetic to my situation and was extremely accommodating. He went out of his way and helped me find a quite room and was able to help me quickly.
The hotel itself is lovely, quiet, clean, and is exactly as advertised. The thing that stood out to me the most (as a former NYC resident and someone who travels to NYC often) most hotels, even the luxury ones, have an air of "you're welcome," impatience, and apathy. Everyone I encountered at Lotte were kind, attentive, capable, and accommodating. I was also impressed with Kingsly the bellman. He not only remembered me, but was available and accessible rather than pushy.

Cloud 9 views of NYC are only a floor below. I think the views from our room were even better What do you call a Palace that's even better than a Palace? Heaven? A dream? or A Perfect Vacation? Thank you Lotte Palace Hotel Our second time with you and hopefully many more to come. The Villard restaurant is so much better than one could imagine, the food, the service, the atmosphere. truly Royal.. It felt like such a privilege to see the grand beauty of this building interior. The parking next door is clean, safe and the gentlemen are very trustworthy as we have experienced, your car will be in great hands while you enjoy a great stay, don't second guess this option, it's fantastic and more than Google will allow me to type. Enjoy!!

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at and I've stayed at hundreds.
The NYC Palace employees are always more than happy to help in anyway - smiling -- happy - ready to help out with anything. The rooms are fantastic and the view is breathtaking (from the right room). I just can't say enough about this hotel.. light years ahead of the rest in terms of both their attitude and their attention to detail. Great hotel. Large room two queen beds. Beds were wonderful. Good service great air conditioning. Very comfortable hotel near attractions. Front desk staff very helpful. Didn't try the bar. After a hectic day this is a great place to chill out with a cold glass of water.

First off let me start out by saying that I was a little concerned about the location and the building itself. Boy was I surprised!! Best little hotel in the absolute cutest and best location for seeing Ney York City. A 5 minute walk and you're in Time Square. The Intrepid Museum is 5 minutes in the other direction. Great.

This hotel really is as good as it gets! We loved our 3 night stay here. The staff was amazing! At check in, the lady who helped us was super attentive. I didn't realize she was completely paying attention to my 16 year old bubbling over with excitement that we were there to spend a long weekend to celebrate both her Sweet 16 and her Dad's birthdays. When we arrived to our room, she sent up an adorable stuffed bear, macaroons from the bakery for my daughter and a bottle of wine for my husband! We were so impressed! The room was lovely. The location is great! Our stay could not have been any more perfect! Thank you so much. I hope we can return someday.response / report this review -
