The staff were nice, bed comfortable, room clean, and breakfast good. But the elevators must have been designed by Satan. They were small, slow, and always arrived too full to get on. You don't realize how much you take good elevators for granted until you're waiting 20+ minutes a day for elevators.

Whilst the hotel itself was furnished nicely and the staff were polite. I was charged twice for the room I stayed in and despite promises from the accounts team, I am still yet to receive a refund! No hotel experience is worth being $850 out of work and I would not wish this experience on anyone. Consequently, I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel

Good location. Short walk to Grand Central Station and the Theater District. Rooms are a good size and clean. The only downside is the price. It's pretty pricey, but considering the location and it being NYC, I guess some will find it worth it.

I just stayed at this hotel this past weekend and I must say that it was one of the best Marriott experiences I've had. I had called the hotel prior to our trip and told them we were bringing my mom for her 80th Birthday I was told they would make a note of it. Upon arrival we were greeted by a wonderful lady Paulina she made my mom feel wonderful she said Happy Birthday hugged her and later sent her wine and cheese to her room. Very nice gesture and made my mom feel special.. We left our bags with the Bell desk and did not have to worry about coming back to check in later. Staff was wonderful helpful with directions restaurant suggestions etc.
A great spot to stay if you want easy access to everything. You can walk to Central Park, Times Square and minutes from Rockefeller Center. Also very close to many train stations!
Very nice hotel. Central to the places I went. Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. I would definitely visit this hotel again.

Overall my experience at this marriott was pretty good. The location is fantastic and only about 6 minutes from Grand Central. However, it is pretty noisy simply because it is in downtown. The rooms are pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary. I would stay here again simply because of the location.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent service. Getting to the fitness center can be a bit confusing if you are staying in the lower half of the hotel and rooms without a view really have no view. However, the hotel is in a prime location for visiting the Big Apple. If the rates are reasonable I highly recommend it!

Location is great for walking to restaurants and shops. Rooms are a bit small but decent for NYC. All staff I encountered were very friendly. Plan to stay here next time I am in the city.

I was there for a work related class so I really can't comment on much. The greeting staff were very friendly & professionally. The hall we used for the class was very clean & well put together.

Marriott took over the property to the building which was built as the Shelton Towers. At its completion, the building was the tallest building in New York and was planned by the same architect as the one who designed the Empire State Building. Marriott has made good use of this landmark historic building of the Art Deco style. The second-floor M Club Lounge, open to all hotel guests, is a nice place to sit down, watch TV, eat a snack or work at laptop, as the WiFi is provided free by the hotel.

This hotel was surprisingly really great. The location was right by a couple subways. Rooms were small but clean. Staff was friendly and the club lounge was really good. Perfect place to come back and rest after a long day.

Very nice hotel. Central to the places I went. There was 6 people in my party. We requested to be in a conjoined room. Of course we were told they would do their best. The two rooms are exactly what we needed. Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. I would definitely visit this hotel again.

Found an old apple core in the trash bin in the room after we checked in. Room not cleaned as well as it should have been. Nicely appointment, but even on the seventh floor street noise was a problem - woke early every day to trucks passing by and cars honking. Staff at the front curb and the lounge were exceptional. First trip to NYC, so nothing to really compare it to. The price was less than I expected being so close to downtime. You can walk to a ton of places from here, and hop a subway. Doorman will hail you cab. Parking is expensive, so don't take a rental car here!

Had a pleasant stay in a well appointed room. The fitness center had everything I needed and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was initially cold due to the weather but warmed up VERY quickly and stayed comfortable after turning the thermostat on. The price reflects the quality for the most part, but $35 for a breakfast buffet (albeit a very tasty one) is a bit steep.

Gorgeous hotel with classy decor and upscale service. Our room was very comfortable, clean and equipped with everything we needed. Staff provided us with extra toiletries and robes upon request. We have the Elite Club membership so we had access to the private elite lounge, which was great--it's stocked with snacks beverages and they also provide meals. Only imperfection was the view from our room, which was brick wall and an alley. Otherwise, superb experience.

Everyone here was extremely helpful and nice! Rooms were spacious and great views! (Not just brick from the next building). Very popular and mass crowds of check in at once. I'd recommend checking your bags with the bell hop and then going to explore the city instead of waiting in line.

A great spot to stay if you want easy access to everything. You can walk to Central Park, Times Square and minutes from Rockefeller Center. Also very close to many train stations!
