Terrible stay. Room was filthy. Bathroom tine even for NYC. The staff was rude and borderline insulting. My time here was anything but enjoyable. They ruined the W brand for me. They lied about cleaning the room. Also cover you touch you key too to enter the room was broken the entire time. Very inconvenient.
You couldn't ask for a hotel with a better location. It's far enough outside of the tourist chaos of Fifth Avenue but is still only a five minute walk from all of the action. There are lots of great food options near the hotel. The rooms are tiny and could use an update but they are at least clean. The staff are very nice and attentive. There aren't many SPG benefits here like there are at other locations, but this hotel is definitely worth a try!
Great location. Very uncomfortable bed linens and pillows. The hotel could also be taken care of a bit better in my opinion. Dishes sitting outside rooms for hours at a time in the hallway, common areas not attended regularly. Staff was attentive and helpful. Not much of a view but good price on Expedia for this location in the city.
Great hotel at very affordable price for a quick weekender trip. Staff are super nice. There was a huge bowl filled with granny smith apples at the lobby for guests to enjoy. Rooms are small but cozy and well equiped. We barely heard the neighbors. The mini bar and snacks drawer was very finely stocked. The bed was real comfortable.
I travelled to New York for work and stayed at the W hotel for 10 days. I had non stop issues that I can't even put into writing but I must say if it weren't for the beautiful staff I would have definitely written a worse review.
The location is perfect and even though I had non stop miscommunications and stress the staff were quick to make it right.
I give a shout out to Micheal and Vincent who helped at the front desk and the kind and amazing spirit of Edna and John. The staff were like family in the end and did everything they can to make things right.
I would stay here again purely because of them - hopefully though will be more smooth sailing this time coming :)

Rooms are very small, staff is rude and unhelpful, housekeeping didn't pick up the trash in all the 6 days I stayed there, had problems with billing also. Very disappointed. Only 1 manager was helpful at the end of my trip after I complained for the 3rd time.
Very comfortable room with soft bed and great sized restroom. Could do with more wardrobe/clothing space especially as I had booked a queen sized room. Also no coffee/tea making facilities although I only know this as standard in the UK. Also price for breakfast($40 per person) and room service is larger than I am comfortable with! Location is fantastic, central to Manhatten with easy access to subway and to all the sights around the island. Overall, competitively priced for the service and room I received.
Great hotel to stay in for a week's trip in New York. They have free coffee in the morning and fresh fruit infused water in the afternoon. Didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked nice. Really close to main attractions great location. Close to grand central.
Not worth the money. Stayed at the W in Miami can’t compare. The only thing they have going for them is location. EXTREMELY small and dirty rooms, very dark and beat up. Looks nothing like the picture's on their website. Service was absolutely TERRIBLE, never have we ever received such horrible service. Double charged us for parking (accidentally on purpose).
If you valet your car be prepared to wait over an hour to take it out. Our car was brought out but the parking attendant disappeared with our keys. Will never stay at the W ever again and would never recommend it to anyone.
I stayed here for two days and two nights. Overall experience was better than expected. Location is perfect, rooms are clean and with everything you need. Rooms are maintained well. Staffs are polite and I never faced any problem here. (Sorry for bad English)
We have just returned after a fantastic long weekend stay in New York to celebrate my 40th Birthday.
From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel really welcome. Everyone who works there was really friendly and helpful, from the concierge to the cleaning staff, to the receptionists, but a special thanks goes out to Pamela Riley, who went above and beyond to make our trip incredibly special. We were given a room upgrade as soon as we arrived and lots of lovely little surprise gifts. She also gave us some fantastic recommendations for places to visit which were all spot on - we saw New York through the eyes if the locals. I have been to New York quite a few times so it was really refreshing to see it from a different perspective. We experienced some real hidden gems, thanks to Pamela.
The hotel is in a perfect location - not too far from the key areas. We walked everywhere, but it is also really handy for the metro. The hotel itself has a nice chilled out atmosphere and feels really contemporary - which is the style we like.
The room we were allocated was a good size (considering we were in New York!) and the beds are the comfiest ever! Would definitely recommend trying some of the cocktails in the living room too - a perfect accompaniment to the New York experience.
Will definitely be back and look forward to staying here again (hopefully before my 50th Birthday!!)
The location was excellent; it is within walking distance to many restaurants, attractions, and the subway. The rooms are very small and the bathroom doors are sliding doors with no locks. The breakfast was great. There is complimentary coffee in the mornings and infused water the rest of the day in front of the elevators. The staff was very friendly!
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around
Cute modern hotel. Great location. I heard the rooms were small from other reviews so we upgraded to the king room-which I'm glad we did. The room offered an iron and hair dryer. No fridge. No coffee. Only offered valet parking at $65-75. Cute lounge/bar area out front. It was a little noisy but didn't bother me. Overall good hotel. Would stay again.
The W Lexington was a huge disappointment!
The room was incredibly small. The window blinds were dirty; there were visible dust on the counter tops. The mini fridge was not functioning. The shower sink was clogged and it was very unpleasant.
Upon talking to the manager on duty about the situation, i was compensated "generously" with
2 beverage coupons that allowed me to purchase two drinks at the lobby bar that does not exceed $5.
Horrible experience! Absolutely one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed at. Absolutely will not return again!
