Was in the mood for taco salad so I decided to come here. Turns out I should've just gone to an American restaurant since I would have had better taco salad there. Too much beans and non-stop iceberg lettuce do not got Mexican food make--it was incredibly bland
My waiter was nice
Honestly, not that great. When I came here 6 years ago I got food poisoning. This time I'm alright, but the food was mediocre at best. The food was terribly hot, so that everyone at the table burned their mouths and has sores now, and it was bland. The salsa tasted like sweet blended tomato, and the burrito had one flavor Salt. Surprisingly, while everything else was burning hot, the beans and rice on my plate were room temperature, and the rice did not taste fresh. The drinks were good though, and the service was friendly. If you know you like it here, keep going. If you're wondering if you should try it, I wouldn't recommend. Also, it needs some real spice added to the food.
This place was busy and the wait time they gave us was pretty accurate. We told the waiter we were in a hurry and he was very accommodating. The food was pretty good and more than enough to full us all up.
Great chips and salsa. Not too spicy, and wonderful rich flavor. The food is fantastic as well. Get the smothered burrito if you want a sure bet. Great strawberry lemonade. It is "Americanized" Mexican and not authentic, but that's what I actually prefer.
This used to be the place to eat in downtown Provo. We have been to their new location three times now and even though I really like the atmosphere the food is lacking. It is bland and three times now I have been unimpressed. We have been going to Los Hermanos for over forty years and I keep hoping it will be great like it used to be. The taste of the food is just not as good anymore. The fact that the place is never packed, even on a Friday night attests to that. The chips and salsa were good, but seriously who messes up on salsa and chips! We had the ice cream dessert and the deep fried outside would have been delicious if they hadn't drenched it in cinnamon sugar. It was gaggy sweet. A light sprinkle would have worked. Told my husband last night to put it on the never recall list. We don't plan on going back any time soon:(
Im giving this place five stars because it's got a really awesome ambiance and atmosphere! Like it's REALLY nice feeling. Now - as for the food, it's pretty much your basic Mexican food restaurant. Same burrito smothered in cheese as any other Mexican restaurant!
We've been long time fans of Los Hermanos. We like the environment. Over the last few years I would day that the quality of food has gone down. Lots of coupons are available that make it cheaper and worth the price.
I was impressed. The food we got was phenomenal (taquitos and smothered burrito). We were really sad when we got full and there was still food on our plate. Our server/waiter was one of the sweetest people on the planet, and took good care of us.
*Note: yes, the salsa is like spaghetti sauce, and not super thick. My wife didn't like it, but I did. If you want good salsa, go to Joe Vera's.
The service is great and happy, though no one talked to us for the first 7 minutes. The food was expensive, thankfully we had coupons. The food was pretty good, but the flavors were pretty bland to me. The chips and salsa were really good though, were complementary, and every single time our chips or salsa was out the waitress would switch it out, which I thought was great service and a smart way to get me to eat more of them. The cold chips were not nearly as good as the warm ones.
I had a hard time finding a place to park. But there is a huge parking pavilion in the back that would have been great had I known about it. Saturday night and the place was packed but they got me in fairly quick. I only had to wait about 15 minutes which is exactly what they estimated it would be. They have the best salsa! They kept my bowl full and drinks as well. My server was friendly and despite how busy they were, he was able to keep up with my demands.
I had the shrimp fajita's. Wow, what a treat! It was absolutely delicious. I had a great experience there and would recommend it to anyone. Even on a Saturday night.
I've been going to this place for the majority of my life they have really good choices and authentic Mexican style grilled food. The specialty drinks are very good it's very family-friendly. Don't forget to get the chips and salsa
Great place to eat, very family friendly. They put a lot of pride into their food and providing great customer service. All the food is very delicious and authentic.
Los Hermanos has a wonderful atmosphere. Great food options and wonderful drinks. It's a clean and family friendly environment. The waiters and waitresses definitely work diligently to share the good ambiance.
Beautifully decorated. Fun atmosphere. Very nice staff. But the food wasn't the greatest. Salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce. And the chicken burrito I ordered was just ok.Overall the food just needed more sauce and flavor.
