Great view off the back balcony but the price is way too high for the quality and quantity of food received. Service was ok.

Etuffee was great we went here years ago before the renovation. The place still retains the charm but much improved service was supurb.

Medium burger should have a warm pink center, not cold and bleeding. Also, got the cheese wrong. I could understand if the place was packed, but we were the only order in. 6 customers, the 4 were heading out the door. Fries were not hot, golden and crisp, were more like dipped in hot oil til warm. Wait staff, OK. Atmosphere, pretty cool. Hubby's Corned beef sandwich was lacking portion if corned beef lunch meat. I keep giving the 'LL one more try, but dang, so disappointed.again. I took my burger and fires home to cook them. Sadly, I did not want to cook tonight.

Can't wait to go back
My parents are snowbirds so I get the opportunity to visit Florida almost every year when I go to see them. I had seen the Linger Lodge on the Food Network so I looked it up on the map and it just so happens that it is a 5 minute drive from my parent's condo in Lakewood Ranch.
We decided to go for lunch one day and i'm glad we did. The lodge is situated at the end of a long road that branches off from a large subdivision. Although it is less than a mile from other houses it makes you feel like you are in the middle of the bayou, deep in the everglades. The lodge is situated in the middle of a campground on the Braden river. The decor in the lodge might scare some (alligators on the wall) but it gives the place a great authentic "Old Florida" atmosphere. The service was very good and the food even better - we all had the alligator chowder for an appetizer- it was rich, creamy and delish. I had a Grouper Reuben which was a nice spin on the traditional Reuben. I look forward to going back next year!response / report this review -

It's an awesome place to go never been there I've been going there since I was a little boy it's closed now through October for remodeling but I have a lot of good memories and Good Times there in the food has always been delicious especially the gator

I need another 2 or 3 stars.this place is GREAT!!!!!
And, it was rainin' like hell when we came so the place wasn't crowded at all but it's very big and one can see what capacity would be like.
Our server was 5 star on her own!! Highly available for refills and additional orders as well as making casual, welcomed conversation while we visited. Food came quickly, was hot and fresh.
My only caveat would be that the kitchen is a little heavy- handed with salt. And I use salt quite a bit. My frog legs were fresh, tender and very flavorful! A little more sear on the non-fried version would be perfect for a slight crisp on the skin.
An EXCELLENT place to see, explore or share with someone looking for a quaint but high quality feel for Florida. Remember, this is an RV park owned bar and grillit would be 10 stars amongst it competitersa real gem.response / report this review -

Everything was great! Our party had burgers, phillies, fish, shrimp and gator tail, and everyone loved it. The Old Bay chips are a must! The decor is awesome and the service is great.

Food is good . A lot of different options . Not your normal take on things but very good testing .. small women's bathroom . Big open porch to sit on while eating with an opening to a lake and open dress area . Try the pulled pork BBQ chips appetizer !!

My friends 59 Birthday and out of all of the great places to eat I chose Linger Lodge!
9 people, we made reservations and how disappointing it was, terrible service, terrible food, had to go to the bar for our drinks, cold fries, cold vegetables.
Our server, never knew her name, was also the management, which was almost funny considering.
As a native Floridian who knows the history of Linger Lodge and the previous quality, all I can say is never again to eat, invite or recommend.
Worse part was no one cared!

A unique place that everyone should visit at least once. Rustic and laid back. The food is good and the menu options are interesting. Very much an old florida style restaurant.
