I just want to start out by saying how grateful I am for Long Island MMA. At this gym, we are a true family. Everybody who trains here looks out for one another and wants to see each other succeed. It is a priveledge to train here. The coaches are the best around and are always willing to help out the gyms members. I met some of my best friends at LI MMA. I truly love this gym. It is home. This gym is also home to the UFC’s Ryan LaFlare, Chris Wade and Dennis “The Menace” Bermudez. These 3 are the best at what they do and if all the rest of the worlds professional athletes conducted themselves they way that Ryan, Chris and Dennis do; the world would be a better place. Thank you LI MMA for everything. Much Love.

As someone who starting boxing lessons and now jiu-jitsu in my mid 50's, I cannot possibly imagine a better coach than Coach Brian and to ALL the instructors and classmates who make me feel so comfortable and who are so helpful! This is a great gym with terrific instructors at every turn. Believe me, to take a mid 50 yr old who basically was a nervous wreck in the beginning and to put me at ease is a big deal! My thanks to EVERYONE at the gym! Saw this place online and admittedly was a bit weary. I didn't really know what to expect, but when I got in I had nothing but good feelings about this place. I spoke to Brian, told him I was interested in joining and he scheduled us for a lesson the next day. It was a great hour long lesson to judge my current level and teach me a few new things. The way he coached that lesson had me hooked. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind and helpful for the entire time. After the lesson, there was no pressure to join, but I was already hooked. He went over the different plans and wasn't pushy at all. I really appreciated that. I signed up on the spot. I think I'm going to have a great experience here.

I have been going to the gym for almost a year now and taking private lessons with Mike the Caveman. He is great at teaching the fundamentals of striking. He is also extremely knowledgeable with nutrition.
Today I took my first private grappling lesson with Brian and he was great as well. He took his time explaining the basics to me and by the end of the lesson things started coming together.

This place is my second home. The atmosphere of the gym is one of the best and is very welcoming to anyone who is new. The coaches are amazing and are always willing to help you out whenever you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you Long Island MMA for teaching my son more than just jujitsu and self confidence. He has certainly changed his attitude. Not only in your classes but at home and school as well. My wife, who originally was against MMA training now proudly calls herself an "MMA Mom". At six months into training, Cole still seeks to attend class at every opportunity.

The staff is amazing. My daughter has trained with Brian for about a year. She was very shy going into the gym but he took the time to make her feel comfortable so she would get the most out of her training. She has been training there for almost a year and you can see a tremendous change in her abilities and confidence. She looks forward to all of her training sessions and enjoys the relationships with other kids she has met in the gym.

Started as a gym, became a second home.

I can vividly remember setting my first appointment for a training session at Long Island MMA for the first time. I was always interested in martial arts but as a regular guy with no athletic background I was needless to say very nervous prior to showing up. All of that changed once I walked in the doors of LI MMA. I saw people of all ages, shapes, and sizes smiling, laughing, and hugging as the bell rang and another round began. I watched the instructor walk around and correct people on their technique as well as offer a great deal of encouragement and positive reinforcement.

I met with Coach Brian and my intro class began. Before I knew it I was drenched in sweat, I had learned my first submission, and was sitting on the mat having a deep conversation about life and overcoming challenges with a guy I literally just met. I left feeling motivated and inspired. I knew this was the place for me.

Two plus years later, I’m permanently down over 30 pounds, up dozens of friends and I dedicate at least 2-3 days a week to jujitsu as it enriches all areas of my life.

The coaches at LI MMA are not only great guys with world class knowledge, they are also very humble and willing to answer any question or demonstrate techniques for anyone no matter their experience level. I could not recommend this place enough.

If you are even considering taking up kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, jujitsu, or physical conditioning, do yourself a favor and call Long Island MMA to schedule an intro class NOW!

Fantastic gym, great staff, great coaches, and great teammates. The progress I see people make in this gym is amazing. Everyone is there to get better and nobody hesitates to help each other out, it is definitely a close knit gym and I was accepted with open arms. Love it!
