This is Rocky not Nancy, If you have mental health issues and are not a Cape Coral-Ft Myers resident, don’t waste your time going here! Last year I was told to go back to Minnesota if I needed care!

The nursing staff here is exceptional! I cant say enough good things about them. My nurse, Jennifer, a cute blonde with strong southern accent was amazing. Didn't catch her last name, which is why I had to use personal descriptors. She listened to me. Comforted me. Made sure I got the proper care. Got my wife by my side. Administered my drugs in the safest way possible. You know, she nursed me! Looking around, I could see her peers were on par. The only down side to this hospital is that they're at max capacity and beds are littering the hallways. Which makes it difficult to maneuver and clean. But the nursing staff navigates like all Americans. Chin up. Sleeves up. Can do attitude. And let's get 'em healed. I love them!

I've been going to this clinic going on a year now. I've had two major surgeries done within 90 days of each other, thankfully performed at Tampa General Hospital by a USF neurosurgeon. I had a spinal decompression and a brain tumor removed. After the surgeries I came back to see my primary care physician to seek on-going care and was more or less turned away since "he wasn't the treating physician." I've been trying to get help for chronic daily pain from this VA clinic since Feburary and I have had absolutely ZERO success. All of the avenues of approach that are available I have already went down. I have called, messaged, and went to his office. Each time I had received some kind of different response of why I am not getting the medical treatment that I need. I asked for a referral to pain management in May and still haven't heard anything from my doctor or anyone else. Went to the patient advocate roughly 2 weeks ago to get this sorted out hopefully. It's absolutely ridiculous that these doctors let people suffer on a daily basis due to the fact that they don't want to do their jobs correctly.

I'm giving this place a 1 star not because the staff and doctors. They have always been polite and easy to deal with. My issue is the VA and its policies and procedures. I called in to speak with my doctor or a nurse and I'm told she will call me back in up to 72 hours. That is absolutely rediculous. Get the place fully staffed to handle the veterans. It should not take 3 days for a phone call to be returned. Let alone to set an appointment date that will probably be upwards of 30 days out. Whoever is in charge of this place do the veterans a favor and pull your head out of the sand.

I have herniated discs and the injury occurred in February. Saw the neurosurgeon who ackknowledge I need surgery bit advised me that surgery probably would not happen because it is exspensive. Here I sit with muscle relaxers and pain meds that do not work and the doctor will not prescribe medication that does work.

Highly recommended to use the vet choice program to see outside providers. The doctors here are like puppets that eat, sleep and live by VA guidelines.

I have been going to this Location for five years. I cannot say enough kind words for the doctors and nurses. I never wait longer than 5 to 10 minutes for an appointment and sometimes get in early. Love this Location.

Always had great service with friendly staff. I don't understand complainers. They need to try other hospitals then they will see how Lucky they are!

I have literally watched staff members openly mock veterans at this facility who cam e in seeking information. The staff that aren't complete tools are nice but no one ever really DOES anything. They smile and nod when you describe what's bothering you, problems you very clearly weren't having before your service, but they never really treat anything. They pass it off as something completely unrelated to serving, anything to pass the buck and make sure the government isn't held responsible. Their scheduling is a tremendous pain as well. They want you to see groups, doctors, make appointments for testing, but they push you to make appointments during the work week. The hours these appointments are available make it nearly impossible for anyone to maintain a full time job while accommodating sometimes once monthly or weekly appointments in the middle of work days. You can slap a fresh coat of paint on a train wreck, or build a nice new facility for a totally broken healthcare system, but that doesn't make either one work any better.

Very professional, caring, considerate and compassionate group of doctors and nursing staff. Admin staff is very helpful and couterous. Dr. David Baldrige is one of the best.
I've been there three times in the last two years. Two scheduled and one walk-in. My wait for a scheduled appointment was no more than ten minutes both times. For the walk-in, I had to wait about 30 minutes. All three of my experiences have been very positivesome of the best out patient medical care I've ever received in my 71 years.
