Isolated, quiet and very relaxing couple of days! We arrived a couple days before Christmas for a little get away. The resort was decorated beautifully for Christmas and so peaceful.

Incredible place to stay for a romantic getaway or a corporate meeting. I personally recommend this place for your vacation and I can attest to the fact that Cordelia’s restaurant here is an incredible place to eat as well. 10/10

The state park is beautiful, especially the lake. We rented kayaks and were pleased with the experience. We stayed in a cabin, and found it somewhat lacking. Several dishes were missing and the kitchen had very few items to cook with. Additionally, the shower had mildew and the kitchen sink leaked.

The facility was nice. The outside scenery was absolutely beautiful, both at day or night. The food was great and it was a quiet environment. The only negative was the Wifi and other amenities. There was WiFi on my building, however it didn't have internet. This want corrected, even after I reported it twice. Not a major flaw, but important to business travelers.

Amazing experience! We travel a lot and this is one of the nicer hotels we've stayed in. Exceptional service, room, and grounds. Thank you for accommodating all our special requests and making this a beautiful stay with my husband! Will certainly plan to be back if we're in the area.

A great stay as usual. We had our 20th and 30th class reunion here. Perfect location for group events. I grew up on these grounds in the park as a kid. Love the addition of the resort. The updated rooms look awesome!

Beautiful rooms with balconies overlooking the huge lake. The balconies are screened in to protect you from those aggravating Georgia knats and mosquitoes. I love to sit on the balcony and sip coffee while watching the sun rise over the lake. I also love the view of the lake at night from the balcony. It is so beautiful. You can rent kayaks, boats, and jet skis from the marina. They have a lakeside bar with live entertainment during the summer. They have an indoor and an outdoor pool. You can rent a completely furnished cabin with a back porch overlooking the lake. The resort has a restaurant that offers a delicious breakfast buffet and delicious lunch and dinner options. They have a conference center that is second to none. The back of the conference center has a long porch complete with rocking chairs so you can sit and enjoy the peace and beauty of the beautiful views or sit and gossip with a friend. They offer wedding specials and other packages.

Stayed here a couple days with family in the 'villas', which are their basic hotel rooms. Rooms are good size and have an outdoor screen porch on them. I think the rooms could use some maintenance though Staff is friendly and helpful. Staying at the resort is a nice, easy way to have a good time at Lake Blackshear.

Went for a family golf weekend. The "Villas" are a bit dated and it's a stretch to call them Villas. Other than that, great deals on rooms and golf and the food was good at the restaurants. A wonderful state park.

Service is not always the best but we had dinner there recently and the food was GREAT! We shared the dinner special, a 20 ounce ribeye and it was as good as you can find anywhere! Recently remodeled. We ate in the bar area at one of the new high tops and watched the sun go down over the water.

This is the first year we've been back to Lake Blackshear for our annual family reunion. I am so glad we came back. I have wonderful memories from my childhood along these shores, and now my children will, too! There are so many great improvements!

Some friends and I ate at the Cypress grill for dinner The service and facilities we're great. The food was ok. The waitress said they were short on cooks. Which explained the wait time for the food. The fish taco I had was alright, but the fried pickles we're greasy and not very crisp. Probably need to increase the oil temperature when frying them. The live entertainment was great. Might try again in the future. Maybe.
