This hotel is wonderful. The General manager and staff are teriffic. Would recommend anyone who is traveling or needs to stay for a long period of time to stay here. Extremely accomodating in every way. They get a score of 5 stars.

"You get what you pay for.", Or so the saying goes. That is not the case with this place. Let's set aside the issues caused by the hurricane renovation. They couldn't help they had water damage. Parking was not a terrible headache. They seem to have a large parking lot and we were about to find a spot easily. The building is conveniently located near the exit off the highway so that's a plus. Landscaping of the grounds was nicely done. Let's talk about the room. I'm going to venture a guess and say the odd smell was perhaps from the renovation or the water damage. It definitely wasn't a nice clean, fresh smell. The bed was comfy and appeared to be clean. We aren't weird people with black lights so I assume it was ok. Modertly furnished but I wasn't expecting much nor do I really care about that aspect. Bathroom was relatively clean except for some water damage in the corners. Towels were clean. Half of our hallway was covered in remodeling plastic. It looks like black trash bags taped every where. No carpet in the hallways. We stayed a Saturday into a Sunday, and the team doing the remodel decided to tack down carpet in the hallway outside our room at 8am. I would think the staff would've made them aware of guests and maybe had them avoid that until after check out. The "Continental" breakfast consisted of juice/coffee, toast/bagel, and a waffle machine. To staff in the dining area were not unpleasant but not friendly. All this wouldn't bother me if it had been mentioned but nowhere did it say under construction or remodel. Plus they still had the audacity to charge $150/night for this room. I would think that they would lower their price during the remodel to make it for the inconvenience to their guests. I do have to say this though, the front desk staff is really nice. They were always smiling and asking us how we were, offering to help with things. All in all, it wasn't a horrible stay but it definitely didn't go great. The ease and convenience of the location being next to the highway is pretty much all of this place has going for it.

I have never had a worse experience at a Hotel before then what I experienced last night. I travel a lot visiting friends and family. I've stayed at a La Quinta in Ocala, before and loved our experience and the fact that they are pet friendly. However, staying at this location was horrible. Apparently, they sustained damages from hurricane Irma. They failed to tell me they were repairing the damages until I was checking in. They are in the process of replacing the rugs and wall paper. But it is possible that with those damages their may be a mold issue or another neglected issue that they have failed to address. I am pregnant and I also have asthma. After my husband and I loading our belongings and our dogs in our room for our late night check in around 10:30pm-ish, I began weezing. So I used my inhaler and took a shower. I started feeling a little better but wasn't breathing normally. That was when I decided to sleep. My husband and I, decided to call it a night on one of the 2 queen beds. My chest started feeling tight So we switched to the other bed. The longer I was in the room laying down, the worse I felt. I was weezing for so long I began feeling weak. This was not pregnancy related. I started feeling concerned for my baby. That was when I took benadryl and took more medication from my inhaler. My husband and I began packing our stuff ready for check out close to 12:30am. Because of my shortness of breath, I stayed in the room away from the beds (in our suite) until the last trip was ready to be made. I notified the night attendant/audit about the situation and was told to wait to talk with a supervisor or manager until the morning. They "feel bad" about our experience but considered that we used our room and was not approved for a refund. I reminded them that I am pregnant and more sensitive then I was before I was pregnant. Probably more then likely, also more sensitive to things then their staff who examined the room in my current health conditions. This will be an experience ill remember. Staying in that room for about 2-2 1/2 hours trying to cure my breathing and allergy/asthma while 19 weeks pregnant was one of the worst things I have ever had to endure while staying at a hotel. I DO NOT recommend staying here!!!!!!

    UPDATE!!!:
After speaking with the GM, the situation has been resolved and I am pleased with our outcome. They have reimbursed me for my stay and will most likely not let this stop me from staying at La Quintas in my future. Looking forward for checking them out again after their renovations.

The staff were friendly, helpful and gracious. The clean and well stocked and maintained.
The breakfast has a nice selection of fruit, breads, cereal, and juices and also includes fresh waffles and boiled eggs.
    Coffee is always available.
There are several nice restaurants within walking distance, most of which offer a discount for staying at LaQuinta.
I especially enjoyed "Your Greek Cousins."
Above all the rates are reasonable!
I will definitely stay there again and happily recommend it to others.

Best Recovery Ever! I stayed here a few months ago and vowed that I nor any of my employees would ever stay here BUT Thanks to the General Manager and his excellent customer service skills, I am here for a week of business. Daniel called me personally after my 1st experience and actually addressed the issues with me. The hotel awarded me with points for changing my room type on me and the GM, Daniel, sent me a gift certificate for a free night. I used it 2 weeks ago and had a GREAT Experience. Orlando, front desk person, eas exceptional and my room was great. [ they let me pick one !!] I enjoyed and appreciated the recovery efforts so much that I am here for a week of business. Check this location out - I think they might actually care about people enjoying their stay!

I recommend this hotel for all travellers. I also received very good Transportation service from a young guy from Bangladesh. I forgot his name.! I left my wallet with few thousand in his car, I call him after few hours when I realised I don't have wallet with me. Call the person and he come to me and gave me my all things back, I respect his honesty and behaviour. I offered him some money but he didn't take.
We need this kind of person in our country. I request to La Quinta please give me his number because I lost his number. And we are 2 family coming next month in west palm beach for visit. So we need his number for pickup us from Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Thanks again for keep this kind of person for Transportation services in your hotel.

Very nice linens, comfortable bed, clean room. Breakfast is good. Waffles and juice very tasty. Loved the orange infused water at check in. Location easy to find, convenient to highways, without the noise. Towels felt like a bunny.

The room is decent size and the bathroom is decent, we're here because they are dog friendly. we woke up with a dead roach on the floor, and housekeeping didn't clean it, we came back to two beds and a dead roach between them. the air conditioners are really loud. not bad, but not a hidden gem.

I generally stay in Hilton or Marriott Brand Hotels but busy time of year and short notice I booked this place. The best part of the hotel is the grand drive through out front. It was downhill from there. I noticed a smell as soon as I came in and the furnishings took me back 20 years. Whoever rated this hotel with 4-5 stars, either works here or has come from a developing nation and never stayed in a decent hotel. With all they are charging they should be able to fix the place up. It needs a total overhaul or demolish and start over.
