Staff goes over and beyond the call of duty. Staff love their job and it shows in their cheerful attitude. Great La Quinta with 100% no smoking policy. New decor throughout. Feels like staying at a high end hotel at an economy price.
This hotel has a very convenient location near to the airport and offers transportation to it. We used a rental car and from the hotel (free parking) to many of the important places of Orlando the average time is between 25 and 40 minutes (deppending traffic). Very friendly staff and a big room (for three).
This hotel should not be visited by cats lovers. They had traps Behind the bushes more than 8 were trapped . Meanwhile they use Poison in square boxes with two side opening to control the rodents and spray like crazy to kill reptiles and insects rather than keeping the cats to do what God intended for them to do.
I did not stay and will never recommend this hotel to any educated and pets compassionate visitor.
A
Very clean and newly renovated. I was also impressed with house keepers Very nicely done.
Close to airport and great location. Lots of restaurants near hotel.
Staffs are all very nice and friendly. At check in, staff made mistake and gave us wrong room but they handled well after. And follow up phone call to make sure we are satisfied - was a big plus.
Breakfast is just okay - other stuff makes up for it :)
Great hotel near Universal Studios. Only a 10-20 minute drive to the park depending on traffic. The renovations are beautiful! My room was super comfy and clean. Their hot breakfast was great with a couple options to choose from.
I came after Hurricane Irma, we hadn't any electricity for 6 days , I finally threw in the towel for air conditioning, took my cats and husband. The room was wonderfully bliss cool air, clean smelled fresh and clean. Had lunch there at the Siam Orchidit was delicious.
The good: Comfortable bed, recently remodeled. The bad: My husband and I are both allergic to down pillows, and all 5 pillows on the bed were down. When we spoke to the front desk they only had one non-down pillow left. They pointed out that the down pillows were in hypoallergenic pillow cases, but when your face and eyes tend to swell up like a cooked sausage around bird feathers, that measly little pillow case is cold comfort. Who needs a down pillow in Orlando anyway? They are super hot.
Stayed one night and flew out in the morning. Very friendly staff and nice rooms, clean and comfortable. Microwave and fridge in the room. Best of all was the crew working the early morning shift. Very helpful and helped insure our taxi arrived. Good choice to stay here. Restaurants are close by too.
Great location. Many restaurants in the area. The room is huge. Fridge and freezer. Microwave. They even provide an Ethernet cable for guests that want a stable connection to the internet. The free WiFi is very very fast which is a nice surprise.
The hotel and staff were great. It's 10 minutes away from the airport and has got a lot of good food joints within a mile. Breakfast was good as well. A few points which were not great - The king sized beds were not 'king' sized and the bathroom door didn't have a lock. Overall a comfortable place to stay in.
The rooms were very clean, the arrangement was nice and the staff was helpful and were able to accommodate pets. The breakfast was tasty and the internet speeds were really fast. I highly recommend this hotel
Really good. Had a desk, impeccable room, breakfast, airport shuttle, friendly staff and lobby area with power sockets for use after checkout. It's also no more than a 10 minute drive from MCO. Absolutely spot on for a layover
Although the room was larger, which was nice, the rest of the experience was awful.
Check in: walk to the front desk, there were 2 ladies behind the desk. One was helping another customer and the other was chatting. After a few minutes, the chatter stopped and the lady helped check me in. She gave me the key card then just disappeared. I wasn't sure if I was done or had to sign something or Eventually I just walked away.
The room: when I walked into the room, it smelled funny. Not clean, not dirty, just funny. It was also hot and humid. Kids wanted to swim so I called down to the front desk to see if there were towels at the pool or if I had to bring some from the roomno answer. We ended up going to the front desk one the way to the pool and the lady gave us "pool" towels. Which were about as big as a washcloth. Oh and when we left the room, the door wouldn't shut. I had to pull/slam very hard in order to get it to close.
The bathroom: there were 2 bars of soap and no joke, a small bottle of shampoo/conditioner that was USED and it looked like they just refilled it with a shot of soap (enough for 1 person)! The bar of soapwas horrible. It felt like it was sucking the moisture right out of you. There was no fan in the bathroom either.
I was really disappointed by this hotel. We only stayed near the airport for the night as we had an early flightthank god it was only about 12 hours total in this crap-hole! If I had to stay any longer I would have left. There are MANY other hotels within 1 mile of this joint. Stay elsewhere!
Nice hotel, comfy and slept well. Traveled with a puppy and they were happy to accommodate with a room on the first floor near the door. No carpeting in the room which was a plus for the puppy. Got there well before check-in time and they let us check-in with no problem. The AC wasn't working upon arrival, but the maintenance man was happy to help immediately when I asked him in the hall and had it fixed in minutes. Only complaint was the fire alarm malfunctioned in the morning and caused some inconvenience. But they let us check out while the fiasco was going on and issued an apology via email. Would visit again if in the area.
If you're looking for a place to stay that's decent and doesn't break the budget then this is a good option. It's close to the airport, various restaurants, a branch of the Orange County Library system, and offers free breakfast. The breakfast in question is pretty basic. There's coffee, orange juice, Apple juice, ice water, and a waffle station. They only seem to offer one type of bagel -wheat I believe- and you have a choice of cream cheese and jam. There's also muffins but when I stayed there they only had double chocolate chip and it didn't look very appealing but 20 seconds in the microwave revealed a pretty soft muffin with a lot of chocolate chips. If you're not into that then there's toast and a cereal station. My only warning for the cereal is that the corn flakes aren't the frosted kind. Oh, and there was a bowl filled with hard boiled eggs which I don't recommend because they were over boiled beyond belief. The hotel is old so the elevator makes strange noises but it adds character when coupled with the desert splatter wallpaper. I got 2 twin beds during my stay and the mattress was very firm which I liked and the ample pillows were very soft. The air-conditioning worked great and I wasn't too bothered by the TV selection of 30 channels. One of the most surprising things about the room was the mini-fridge. That thing had the cooling power of an Arctic tundra. I placed 2 litres of water in there and the next morning they were frozen solid. The bathroom was clean and the tub had a nice nonslip mat but the water pressure was dismal and it took a long time to get the water to warm. If you're not in a hurry though it's fine. The soap and towels were great. I wish they gave more 2 in 1 shampoo though but I guess that's life. I had an enjoyable stay. Oh, but watch out for the doors, they open OUTWARD instead of inward so don't run into them.
