Great quiet little hotel very comfy very friendly staff members cute rooms. The best part is the open roof courtyard
Both me and my colleague's credit cards were stolen after we paid our room charges there. BE Aware
Simple but elegant. Quality without outrages fees. Great area of town for shopping, restaurants and movie theater. Nice staff.
Internet does not work, it instead buffers for hours.. There isn't any functional insulation in the walls between rooms = if there's a couple next door, even if they are talking in civilized tones, every word of their conversation can be heard. So imagine if they disagree it feels like you're in their room in-between them. There are no windows in most rooms. Management doesn't care if guests are unhappy.. This place is not functional as a hotel. It does have good photos of itself online though, which are pretty to see, as long as you're not actually staying here.
Location is okay. Not much outside of the hotel. There is a dying mall near by. The interior of the hotel is good. Feels very chic and a style of boutique. Rooms are clean.
What a great little spot to rest my weary body after a long day. I was so happy when I arrived in my room. It was larger than expected, very clean and modern, and the bed super comfy. The check-in process was seamless. This will definitely be a 'go-to' hotel for me whenever I'm in the LA area!
Great decor and atmosphere. Rooms were clean an the staff was friendly. Very quiet as well. Overall great stay and very pleased
Older hotel, but they have done an ok job with upgrading decor (the first room I was in had tape on the pipes under the sink). There is not much insulation between the rooms and you can definitely hear people talking and if you are on the bottom floor you can hear the guests walking in the room above you.
Parking is TIGHT!! If you have a larger car it will be difficult to park. They also park staff in the lot so if you get back late there is a chance you won't have a spot or they double park your car (only about 18 spots).
All window rooms have windows that are external facing - either the courtyard or if on the ground floor the parking lot (did not feel safe as a female on the ground floor).
The staff is fantastic and very nice and there is a great diner across the street. Personally for the money I would pay a little more to stay somewhere else.
Very disappointed for the price. The sheets and duvet had stains, and the bathroom fixtures we're rusty in some places and the room was falling apart in others. This would have been okay if it's wasn't $180 for one night. Also the room didn't have a mini fridge or microwave, which I would expect for the price. The air conditioning was also broken and the room was unbearably stuffy. The court yard was nice and the room too if you didn't look too hard. Overall I was really disappointed and definitely would not stay here again.
Room was dirty, and not well kept. My robe and bedsheets had stains on them. The bathroom had rust on fixtures, holes in the tile floor, holes in the wall by the mirror. Staff was very pleasant and friendly but overall, I would not stay here again.
LA Sky Boutique Hotel is in a good down town location, the dive way to get to parking is very narrow, the hotel charges for parking, internet wireless is OK, no breakfast, room is very small, no elevator to second floor, bed was comfortable.
I had the pleasure of staying at the L.A. Sky Boutique Hotel for an extended business trip recently. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the staff! The room was very quaint, cozy and sufficient for my needs. The staff was stellar! Everyone was very attentative to anything I needed. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying at the L.A. Sky Boutique if you are in town.
