Room was spacious, water, microwave, and fridge. That is it the rooms are strange. Patches everywhere like some just fix a whole and didn't bother to fix the color. Second day no hot water all all and upon call they said I will leave a note because there is no facility guys at the moment. Would be better if they call the person in charge to have someone come out and turn the water heater on. What dumb guy. No wonder he works here. There is only one elevator which take forever to come down and up. To much street noise. There is no need for valet parking. My car is 10 feet from me in parking lot. So silly. Room was clean but on my second day I saw a small spider. Never ever staying here again.
They are in the process of updating the property. The rooms are nice and the location is close to shopping, restaurants and sight seeing.
Paid for suite with 2 queen beds and when i arrived they put me in a suite with 1 bed. I could not let my kids sleep on the floor so they down graded me to a small room with 2 queen beds with no refund. Basically i was charged for a suite that i did not stay in.
Room was spacious, but that was about it. Location is bad - there are not many restaurants nearby. The hotel doesn't have an ATM, the rooms are horribly outdated, there is only one elevator and I was on the top floor, and after waiting 5 minutes for the elevator, I was reluctantly forced to use the stairs. The windows let in a ton of noise, and even when closed I could hear a ton of road noise. The bath towels are small to the point of not being able to wrap around me (I have a 34" waist - I'm not overweight or anything). The "valet parking" is borderline useless as the cars are parked 10 feet from the valet stand, so I could have just parked myself and saved $20. You get what you pay for, and at least the room was clean.
Decent room on a noisy street, expensive parking and lackluster free breakfast. At least it was clean.
Good accommodation, the staff was nice. Serves good food. Clean and spacious room.
No free parking, no guest parking. 20$ to park. Very clean and decent breakfast
The images online are mildly deceptive mostly because there isn't a big enough emphasis on these are the remodeled look. Most of the staff is very friendly but we did have issues with our check-in staff person who was rude. The beds were okay for a hotel. The breakfast was good.
I'd give this place 5 stars if not for 2 things. 1) we booked 2 queen beds and were placed in a 1 queen, 1 sofa bed room. The sofa bed was completely broken, and I had to sleep on an OLD single cot on my first night. The guy at reception did everything he could to get us a different room for the next night and thank goodness, it was in one of the newly renovated rooms; 2) the buffet breakfastall the hot items were ready-made and then mocrowaved. Please serve real food, we didn't come to LA to get frozen scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. McDonald's serves a more superior breakfast than this.
However, I can't say enough good things about the entire staff, from the day then evening desk clerks, the housekeeping staff, to the valuejust exceptionally kind, friendly people.
I'd come back if they promise to never put me in one of the old rooms again!
Good location, the rooms was ok. The service was really great.
Service here is impeccable. I was expecting a typical 3 star hotel service, but the Holiday Inn Express exceeded all expectations. They upgraded us to a Presidential Suite after they ran out of king bed rooms. The valet associate was also very friendly, efficient, and service oriented. We really enjoyed all aspects of this hotel.
