The IHGs I've stayed in are really nice, but this one is older & you can smell the paint. It's decent. Bathroom is tight & beds are full size not queen. Convenient from highway, affordable, location to restaurants & outings.
We booked this hotel on a third part website and when we get there they told us that my name was no where in the system to be found. I was very calm about it and understood they were busy. I ended up having to e-mail them a copy of me booking the hotel before they gave us a room. Left there and find out they not only charged me for the $110 from the third party site but an additional $85. I try calling to see what happened and can't get through to anyone.
Close to the airport. Clean for an airport hotel. Friendly staff. Restaurant is pretty good (especially compared to close by options) and offers a nice view of the planes coming in. Free shuttle and a pool!
The staff was great! The restaurant was very nice and offered a free appetizer because we were rewards members. They were reasonably priced and even offered a courtesy call and text if there was anything additional we needed. Great customer service!
Lodging at this hotel was one bad experience after another. Our work crew travel on business a couple days per week, being that my Boss is an IHG platinum member we tend to stay in their facilities. However, we will not lodge here again. After 14hrs traveling we get to the hotel and there is absolutely no where to park. People are parked anywhere they can fit. Went to check in only to find out our rooms were cancelled and sold, as well as 4 others who were in the lobby, and now the hotel was booked/overbooked. There was only 1 staff member working at the hotel to tend to everyone. After 2 hrs of waiting someone checked out, he had to clean the room himself, and we got A room (we booked 2 rooms). Also, the hallways have no air vents, feels like your suffocating. The next morning, we all attempted to get breakfast only for them to tell us we had to request breakfast at the time of booking even though they cancelled and sold our rooms. If you choose to stay here be prepared for a parking lot maze and have a back up plan for lodging.
Stayed there during hurricane Irma, only had one hour of no power while a friend stayed at the Holiday inn Express down the road and Clarion and we're with out power for two whole days. It's a little date but the food was good and had a great view on the 9th floor. Will stay there again.
Having stayed now many weeks for days at a time, we have had only positive and experiences. Therefore I have added a star and removed my former negative comments about our first experience. The staff here are exceptional and many of them go out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. That means a lot to our veterans when they are there waiting for medical treatment.
This is an older hotel, but clean thoughout. The front desk staff always make us feel glad we came back. They are efficient and multi-lingual. There is a good coffee shop in lobby and a nice restaurant upstairs, with beautiful sunset views over the airport and Miamimade for some great fireworks viewing on July 4th weekend.
Holiday Inn has become our favorite place to stay in Miami. Parking is free too!
Overall a pretty good stay. We didn't use room service. The beds were comfy and you couldn't really hear the planes. Only bad thing to say about it is the breakfast buffet. Not many options, some of the French toast was tough, the eggs were watered down, the restaurant staff took a while to fill our drinks, they wait for you to step out of the way if you encounter each other, and they include the tip on the receipt so you look like a jerk if you want to tip less. Also, no bacon. Would stay there again, but not eat at the buffet.
We stayed here one night. The shuttle picked us up from the airport so that was a plus not having to arrange other transportation. We dined at the rooftop restaurant and the food was average at best. We checked out the exercise facility and all we saw was just treadmills or similar machines. No weights or anything like that. The guest services people were very welcoming.
We were staying in this Holiday Inn hotel for three days due to a cancelled flight from WOW Airlines. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff very friendly. One of the shuttle drivers, Guillermo, has been extremely helpful in providing us with information on the best way to get to Miami Beach using public transport, which turned out to be super easy. We mostly ate in the Hotel, since we had received vouchers from the airline. The quality of the dinners was very good and the restaurant staff was also super friendly. We didn't have breakfast, but opportunities for lunch were disappointing. This is the only reason why I didn't rate the hotel as a 5 star.
Furniture has wet black which I am covered with! The coffee maker doesn't work. Next we'll see what happens in the shower! The TV wasn't plugged in last night so we plugged it in then called the front desk to see why we had no cable. They promised to send someone to check it and no one came. Stay tuned!
I stayed at the Holiday Inn (MIA) because of a flight cancellation. Most staff very helpful. Rooms were clean. The building seemed old and outdated but that was my only complaint.
Busy with lines during check-in. Rooms are spacious. No Central air. The air conditioning unit in my room wasn't working properly so they put me in another room. The view in the first room had a great view of the airport. The other room had no view as it facing another building. Breakfast is pretty good and exactly what I expected from a hotel chain of this caliber. The views from the restaurant which was on the 9th floor was decent. Ultimately a good hotel with excellent staff.
We were pleased with our stay, though being a cruise debarkation day, it was pretty hectic at the hotel. We were set up with cruise shuttles and good Cuban-themed food. The rooms were well appointed and clean, though the shower wall was plastic and a bit unusual. Overall, we were very happy.
