Early today I woke up with a very large bloatted belly. I have liver disease, I had told my friend that I was hurting in my side area, and that it was hard for me to breathe. I had went ahead and fixed breakfast but I wasn't hungry so I didn't eat. I took my dog out for a walk because it was really was warm outside.
On the way back I was staggering and slightly confused. I can remember walking into our back door but I cannot remember walking into the rest of the house. I walked outside, and that's all that I know from there. I blacked out. I don't know when I was spotted or when my brother had called 911. I knew that they were trying to help me up, but I couldn't stand because I was in and out of consciousness.
The ambulance came and the tech was asking me questions that I couldn't answer because I didn't know. When I had arrived at the hospital, they put the blood pressure monitor on me still I don't recall this going on.
They had givin me fluids, and I was still asking questions where am i? Who are you? They did an EKG on me and a cat scan. They took my urine checked it, they took one vial of blood, the tech that suppose to come into your room and get vials of blood from a person never did show up, my mom and brother would have told me. The nurse that was overseeing me was rude, I had to go to the bathroom, and when she had gotten me up my legs started buckling up and everything went black, she pulled me up and told me to open my eyes, she had me only by my arm, yanking me to try to pull me up, she had said very hateful, cmon April get up. I told her miss I can't get up because I am not able to get up. My head is dizzy and everything was going black. She then told me that I wasn't passing out. She called me a liar. They did not check my amonia levels or enzymes in my liver. I told them that I had Addison's disease, they didn't check my corisol levels because they would have kept me in the hospital to check those.
They treated me poorly, rude and patronized me. They didn't do the proper tests on me.
They didn't have time to check everything.
The doctor that I had last spoke to that I can remember is him telling me that it was crucial that I spoke with my liver doctor asap.
Evidently, there were no tests, done on my liver, or when I had told them that I had chronic pancreatitis still no tests were given to me. Before this incident I was confused, then I became very shaky and unstable then I blacked out. I have no memory whatever I was just told what I was asking. I kept saying where am I and who are you?
I know that JMH did not do the tests on my liver or my pancreas, as I said no one came into my room gathering vials of blood from me. I told my family that I had been feeling cloudy all day. The conclusion was I was tired, but tiredness has never knocked me completely out and upon waking up asking where am I or keep asking who are you?.
I don't ever get where I cannot control my body unless I am unable too. JMH, did not help. And I am still feeling confused and shaky. This is something I will talk to my attorney about. To the Abingdon Life Saving Crew,. I heard that you had gotten turned around on route to the hospital.
To the doctor that saw me, and the nursing staff, horrible treatment. You can't tell when someone is needing medical assistance or when someone is acting? Dude, if I was acting I deserve a Grammy.
I will be picking up medical report for 11/27/2017. Then I will have proof that my liver amoina levels, enzymes and pancreas we're never checked.
Health care in this region sucks.
I do have a good team of doctors but they aren't at JMH, or Abingdon for that matter.
You guys think by just looking at someone and saying walk again that they will get up because low n behold you have witnessed a miracle Praise whomever and give her a sucker for being such a modeled patient.
Had great service every time I've had to take one of my kids there.
The nurses at this hospital some r sweet and some r down right rude an disrespectful. I kn u can't drive from a hospital when they give u pain meds but 2 nurses went over board tonight/morning. I was up for discharge an didn't have a ride an they refused to let me go outside to use my phone so I could call someone to come an get me cause my phone had no service while I was inside other than WiFi. Then they both refuse to remove my iv even though I was discharged an I also had to wait on sercurty to come walk outside with me so I could use my phone an smoke a cig an while I was smoking an using my phone the sercurty officer came outside an told me that I needed to hurry cause he got another call an had to go some where's else in the hospital. When I went back in they put me in the ambulance bay to use my phone an after talking to my husband for awhile on the phone telling him wat was goin on an wat they was doin I looked an both of the nurses that was treating me wrong was standing an staring at me while I used my phone along with 4 other nurses talking an jus staring a hole thru me. On top of all that when I went back to the room I was in the nurse that I started with when I first came me came to my door an asked me why I was still here an I told her wat was goin on an then she started trying to help get me out of here an then one of the nurses that I'm having problems with walks by looks at my nurse an told her I could go but I couldn't have my discharge papers an if I left the property they would call the law on me which that would give the law a right to charge me with a pi witch would get me in more trouble that isn't worth it so nw here it is 5:15 an I'm still standing here trying nt to catch a charge cause of 2 rude an disrespectful nurses I kn they was doin their job but they had no right to talk to me like they did an treat me like they did.
I was just discharged from the Hospital today and was there 6 days and the care there was excellent. The staff was friendly and caring. THANKS AGAIN
Back in July, 2017, my Uncle Joe was admitted from side effects from advanced Dementia. When his nephew was visiting him, the staff only had a hospital gown loosely thrown on him with his arm hanging out & nothing on underneath. It was freezing in the hospital. Upon transporting him home, he arrived for my Aunt Marlene to find him only wearing a bed sheet. If things weren't bad enough for my relatives, you'd think the hospital would have enough compassion to leave him with what little dignity my Uncle had left. JUST A HOSPITAL BED SHEET! My Aunt said it took her close to two hours to get his hands & feet warmed back up. Upon trying to contact the hospital, my Aunt was unable to reach anyone to explain why he was sent home in this condition. When she finally did reach somebody, Cheryl Rasnake, she was told that they had apologized & what did my Aunt expect now, verbatim. So much for the commercial claims at providing quality health care in a professional & caring way. That's laughable. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to my worse enemy. Deplorable treatment to my Uncle who was unable to do anything for himself. Too bad the review score doesn't go as low as I would like to rate this hospital.
Been in waiting room for 2 1/2 hours. 5 people in waiting room with us. I think this is crazy. Need more staffing. The girl that checked my husband in had a attitude but if I say something it will only take longer.
Total knee replacement. My experience with this hospital was excellent. Successful surgery, excellent care by extremely nice personnel and the most sanitary hospital I have seen.
A nice hospital, friendly staff, my wife and I have received good care here.
Taking through the ER from the ER Dr and staff until I check out 2 days later I couldn't have ordered better care. Plus hospital very nice. Excellent
Safety/compassion/and patients are priority!
Every single person I met doctor or nurse or aid was exceptional. Nobody wants 2 be at the Hospital ,but if u have no choice I would not mind coming back 2 Johnston Memorial Hospital!!!
