Easy hiking, if you want to call it that. More like great walking paths, but the views more than make up for it! I recommend coming here to sit and reflect as you watch the world do its thing.

This is becoming one of my favorite parks. Nice trail system with short to medium length trails. Great views. Perfect place to spend an afternoon exploring.

One of our favorite local parks to visit. And now they have a great visitor's center. Be sure to seek out the Indian Ladder Trail that leads under the waterfalls, and the ziplines for the kids. There is also a hike that brings you through some tight crevices. Bring a lunch and take some time to explore and enjoy the amazing views!

If you want to get a birds-eye view of downtown Albany go here. The elevation is 1,100 feet. You will find plenty of picnic tables, grills and playgrounds for the kids. It also features the scenic Indian Ladder Trail and a wonderful and highly educational visitor center.

An amazing place to learn about and experience nature. Coming to see the raptors migrate is quite the experience! The folks at the nature center are wonderfully helpful and nice with great sense of humor! I'll keep coming back for life!

Beautiful visitors center with helpful staff. Due to recent trail conditions, call first if you are looking to hike the Indian Ladder Trail. If it is closed the additional trails are still well maintained and make for a nice time in nature.

Long list of things that make this place amazing.. ready? Disc Golf, Fossils (that's right - you can find plenty of them near the paint mine site), zip lines, beautiful hiking trails leading to awesome overlooks, plenty of amazingly clean bathrooms and waterfountains, a visitor center with friendly staff to answer all your questions, pavilions all over for family functions. Also FOSSILS! A nature center with lots of hands on learning and bird watching. And its all free. Seriously, an amazing place to take your family.

Great park with many amenities. The new visitor center is beautiful, feels more like a national park visitor center, very well done. Amazing views since you're right on the edge of the escarpment. Play grounds, horse shoes, disc golf, hikingthere's a lot to do here.

I absolutely love hiking in Thatcher. When I first came to the capitol region, I asked friends where to go, and always they suggested Thatcher for the amazing sights and the Indian Ladder trail. Simple, and easy, i have done this trail dozens of times now, and still love it. Perfect for a date, or to bring the kids.
