Beautiful to visit Conservatory at Christmas! So many varieties of poinsettias. Several turtles, some quail and a duck make theur home here. Reasonably priced admission.

An excellent park and Rochester's first, considered a botanical park and is classified as an arboretum. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (the same designer of famed Central Park in NYC) this park includes an amphitheatre, botanical gardens, and a conservatory. Not to mention this is also the location of one of Rochester's reservoirs, which doubles as a very scenic location. There are enough paths and trails to get lost for hours. If your ever in the area, I suggest trying to find the Poet's Garden, a beautiful hidden part of the park.

What I like best about this park is that the natural features are intact: hills, valleys, ponds. It is a large, open park with paved pathways, benches, lots of grass and plants. Restrooms on site. Playground, hidden gardens, a reservoir. It makes you feel like you can get lost in nature, just a little bit, in the middle of the city.

Quiet place for the most part. Some city noises but excellent views when the sky is clear. You can see all the way to Harriet Hollister Park.

This is one of my favorite parks in the area. There are many great views and paved trails to take a nice walk, a run, etc. On. It is very relaxing to take a blanket and sit on the open grass hills between the lilacs. The location is central to the area and as I said a one of a kind park.

Beautiful park. Lovely to walk. Great place for picnic. conservatory is very interesting. Great for young and old. Took grandson to conservatory and playground across the street.

Just a beautiful place. I love nature flowers architecture.. Highland offers all of it. Great place to walk and meditate. My hobby is photography, so it's a great place to take people to do photo shoots or just shoot with no other people involved. Love Highland.. it's a gem

Beautiful place for walks, jogging it picnics. Very popular for family, child, wedding and all other photography with the beautiful foliage paths and blooms. Several playground an amphitheatre, bathrooms and many more amenities as well

No bathrooms, but otherwise the grounds are very well kept! It's all hills, so great for workouts and dog walks. There is a little playground close to Lamberton's conservatory (which has the only bathroom as long as they are open) I frequently see people taking lunch and dinner there, and all ages come to hangout throughout the day.

Came for the Lilac Festival and the park was fantastic.

Flowers: It was a dreary and cold weekend we came on but many of the flowers were still in bloom. They had magnolias, lilacs, cherry blossoms and many other flowers and trees. Great variety, lovely fragrances and awesome place to take photos.

Trail: You can follow the trial and we spent about an hour and a half walking and taking pictures. Festivals are held there so if you happen to come during one like us, you could probably spend a few hours there.

Will definitely come back!

Highland Park is an amazing retreat located on the Rochester Brighton boarder. Surrounded by the South Wedge, College Town, and a bit of Brighton, it's a peaceful place one can go and get away from city living.
