I live in Ohio and saw that Joe's does free appraisals online. I sent him a few pictures of a guitar I have and he quickly responded with information and a rough estimate on a price. He actually gave me a call and gave me as much info about my guitar as he could. He also offered to buy it, as well as pay for the shipping. Now that's what I call service! Give him a call, and see how much your guitar could be worth.

I called Joe last week for free appraisal of an early '70's Gibson SG guitar and a similar era Fender Super Reverb amplifier. He was personable on the phone, interested, and asked that I send photos and descriptions of the items, which I did. After that, I attempted follow up several times, texting and leaving messages, with no response. I became discouraged, and left a negative Google review of my experience. Joe immediately contacted me to explain that he had been travelling, not receiving calls while in the air, and admitted with apology that he had lost track of my inquiry in the process. He offered to make it right.
After giving my appraisal, he ended up purchasing my Gibson for what I considered a fair price. Very honorable after all. Thank you.

I had been doing some research on the value of instruments that my father owned when I saw the Joe's Vintage Guitars website and their free appraisals. I emailed with some pictures of the instruments. I was surprised with the quick reply. Joe Dampt replied with a phone number. The next day I called. Joe patiently went through each instrument and provided me with a range of values for each one. Joe was very helpful and gracious in his interaction with me. I appreciated his knowledge, honesty, and willingness to take time to help me. Joe, thank you very much.

I decided after about 10 years to pull out my guitar and start playing again. How,was I to know that having a guitar sit would cause such havoc with the electronics. As I was searching around for someone to work on my Epiphone Sheraton, I ran across Joe's Vintage Guitars. I decided, after having a telephone conversation with Joe that I would bring my guitar down to get a major upgrade.

When I arrived at his place of business, I noticed it was a residential home in downtown Mesa. I knocked on the door and he answered. Wearing shorts, a t-shirt and barefoot. He was cooking breakfast and I remarked at the wonderful smell and he invited me to sit and eat. I'm thinking, I'm here to get my guitar worked on and he offers me breakfast. Instantly, I liked this guy.

We chatted about the work we discussed and all the while I was looking at all the cool Vintage Guitars he had for sale. Again, I thought to myself, I like this guy.

I left my guitar with him and went home waiting for the day to pick my guitar back up. Just a handshake and an understanding between us.

Well, the day finally arrived for me to pick up my guitar. Joe did a fantastic job with my Epiphone Sheraton. He rebuilt the wiring harness, installed new pots and a set of Gibson 57 classic pickups. My guitar never sounded better.

I told him when I left my guitar with him that if he did a good job, he would be my guitar guy for life. Well, I guess I got my guitar guy.

If you are needing any work done on your guitar or if you are in the market for something Vintage, I would make Joe my stop. He is down to earth, knowledgeable and does top notch quality work. He is also affordable.

Thanks Joe. I love the new sound of my Sherri.
