I've only eaten at the restaurant called 616 and haven't spent the night. However, the restaurant is excellentboth food and service. And the price, while expensive, is worth it. They put on a wonderful Sunday brunch including a made to order omlette bar. The hotel itself, while not old by any means, I think could stand a renovation. The decor is starting to show its age.

The hotel is nice don't get me wrong. The room was spotless which was nice. But don't expect to get ANY rest or sleep here. So frustrated right now. Have to be up for work at 4am. On the 6th floor and sounds like the band down in the lobby is in my room playing. The bass is so loud it is vibrating my bed and the piano might as well be in my room. There are no sound barriers the noise travels all the way up the tall ceiling into each floor. When I called down they said they could turn the bass down but ironically it only got louder. Hopefully I never get stuck here again especially on a weekend.

I came in to Grand Rapids to spend a weekend with my friend. Staying at the JW put the icing on the cake. The view from our room of the Grand river was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, very accommodating. The room was large and felt luxurious.
    Can't wait to visit again!

The only hotel I would consider in Grand Rapids. The staff is beyond friendly and professional. The entirety of the hotel was spotless during our entire 3 day stay. At no point was there a blemish anywhere. We had a room by the elevator and to my surprise, we did not hear the elevator at all, this was exceptionally special to me. The attention to functionality in the rooms is outstanding and the choice of materials in the room makes for a comfortable environment. The room service food is also astoundingly good and priced extremely fair.

Elite location amongst all of the best that Grand Rapids has to offer in dining and entertainment. The accommodations are modern, chic and impeccably clean. The top floors have a gorgeous view of the Grand River and the pretty bridges that cross. The executive lounge is loaded with great snacks, drinks and food.and it is open on weekends!! Top notch experience at this JW Marriott location!

Great location in Grand Rapids with a great view. The room service is spot on food and service wise. I loved the shampoos and soaps they smell great. The only downside is that it is very expensive to stay here.

Love this hotel!! Got a room on a high floor with river view and it was amazing. Concierge club was great too. Many Marriott lounges are closed for weekend but NOT this one. Wine for the evening hooray! Room was not big but very comfortable and has everything you need. Will definitely come back.

Rooms are very clean and modern. The whole hotel has an incredible modern feeling. My wife and I went to Six One Six and the food was delicious. We hope to stay at the Marriott again soon.

Nice and clean hotel, the staff are very friendly. There was a mix up with my room but by the end of my stay they had handled the situation very well and I am a satisfied customer. The location is perfect, I would recommend this hotel to anyone trying to stay in the heart of downtown GR.

Purely an amazing hotel! From top to bottom this place has so many things to offer! I completely love the staff at this location. Jessica at the front desk is absolutely amazing! She took care of everything we needed and made my stay as smooth as it could be. The general manager Brian is one of the nicest general managers I have talked to at any hotel I have stayed at! Overall, I am so impressed with this hotel. Being a platinum member myself, I stay at Marriott hotels quite frequently. This had to have been one of the best experiences I have had at a Marriott brand hotel. Great job guys! Keep up the great work!

The JW hosted the Armed Forces Thanksgiving to benefit veterans and celebrate past, present, and future military personnel. The venue was well done and the food for the luncheon was presented well and all at the table enjoyed the meal. Thank you for helping us communicate the necessity for and benefits, both personally and collectively, of military service.

Went to the GR JW Marriott for a work banquet and needed a room to pump (I am breastfeeding). Unlike most hotels or banquet halls, the staff at the JW were very accommodating and provided me with a comfortable chair in a private room to pump. I even had an amazing view of the city at the same time and was provided with relaxing music at the spa. I have never received this level of support as a nursing mother-most places tell you that all they have available is the bathroom, and most of the time there isn't even an outlet available! I don't like the idea of making my lunch in a bathroom, so naturally I don't feel comfortable pumping in a public restroom! I could not be more impressed with the level of courtesy and service when I was not even a paying guest at their hotel.

5 stars, most prestigious and luxurious hotel in Grand Rapids and many other cities worldwide. The pool/hot tub/sauna is very relaxing. The bar/restaurant workers were all very nice and go really far to make the costumers happy. The valet workers are all very helpful, even without a tip and take very well care when handling your vehicle. If I could go over 5 stars I would.

JW Marriott is on the Grand River, well constructed and with a good view. Their staff is highly professional and very friendly, and their speed and precision in changing around d furniture in the various rooms was absolutely crazy. The lobby changed from a birthday party when we got there, to a night lounge feeling next to the bar, to a sort of study lounge feel in the morning when we left. The room we had was very well kept and had a beautiful view of the city.

The wife and I stayed in a River View room on the 5th floor for our Anniversary. The view was gorgeous, we could see the river and blue bridge right from the comfort of our King Bed. Valet service was attentive and quick to retrieve our vehicle when needed. We utilized the pool, hot tub and the Steam rooms were awesome! They have a regular room and a eucalyptus steam room as well. This really helped clear up my stuffy nose. The location was awesome and we found ourselves visiting several bars that were all within walking distance.
