The best thing about this hotel is the pool. My children loved swimming there. Besides that I was very unimpressed. The front of the sink in our bathroom was completely cracked and ready to fall off. The shower had. Large crack running from the !idfle of the wall to the shower head. The staff was mostly helpful but failed to help us get a taxi that would fit all 5 members of my party every time we asked for help. The location of this hotel is great but it's not worth the steep price.

Absolutely customer oriented. Did everything to make sure we enjoyed our stay & that we were comfortable. The room & amenities were altogether welcoming & the breakfast buffet was a true treat. We will definitely return.

Great food. Room service is excellent. The restaurants in the hotel have a good selection. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to host a meeting. The ballrooms are beautiful.

I've stayed here twice during two separate times of the year. The staff is attentive and friendly, check-in is always a breeze. I was able to secure a room by walking in after a flight cancellation & using my reward night with my IHG membership. It is located in a great spot & never a hassle to get a ride to and from the hotel. Rooms are clean and perfect.

The rooms here are gorgeous! I heard they recently did some renovations to the rooms and lobby areas. It's a beautiful hotel and affordable for what they offer. I do wish there was more personal space in the mini fridge, however. I'm a nursing mother, and if I was staying more than two nights it would have been an issue.

The location is Central to everything. The rooms are very clean. The ambiance is nice. The guest services are friendly. The food is amazing. I enjoyed the imperial India theme. The color scheme is pleasant. The food is nice, clean and fresh.

Attended a wedding at the hotel and stayed overnight as a guest. The hotel is beautiful and well kept, and every employee there was fantastic to interact with. The room was nice with a very comfortable bed, and nice decor. My only complaint would be the bathroom is tight, and not much room for two adults in there at once.

When we first arrived at the Intercontinental, we were warmly greeted by Will, the bellhop. He greeted us with a smile and his warm and friendly demeanor. He not only started our stay off right, but anytime I ran into him, he would take the time to have a conversation with me.
We checked in and were greeted by the nicest people at the front desk. Unfortunately our room was not ready, so we went to the bar while waiting for friends to arrive. I went back a while later and spoke with Billy B., who was the such a pleasure to speak with. He inquired about our room and got us checked in faster than what I thought it would be.
Next up was Keenan who brought our bags up to the spacious, clean room. Keenan is the coolest! Anytime I ran into Keenan during our stay, he greeted me with a huge smile and never forgot my name. No matter what I asked for, Keenan made sure to get any request fulfilled immediately, even when i told him not to hurry. It was raining the day we checked out, and Keenan literally held an umbrella over me while we waited for our Uber.
The room, the service and smiles we received from the Intercontinental staff made our experience a truly wonderful one and we will definitely be going back to stay. The rooms were super clean, the beds and pillows were just like being at home and the cleaning service was impeccable.
Will, Billy B., and Keenan are truly wonderful, classy gentleman and I'm looking forward to my next stay because of them.response / report this review -

Great service at the front desk. There was a long line, but they were fast and efficient. Rooms are very clean and surprisingly spacious. A few bar options that have great atmosphere. Both quiet laid back scene and then the Michael Jordan bar is a loud, fun scene. Great location in the city with lots of shopping and restaurant options.

Stayed at this hotel with all of my co-workers and boss. My boss made it clear not once, not twice, but three times he was paying for all of the rooms. When he called to make the reservation, he put his card on file. When we checked in, the person at the desk asked for a card to put on file for incidentals only. Long story short, everyone that was on the trip had their account charged multiple times, for multiple amounts. One of my co-workers had 1,200 taken out of her account in three separate transactions. The people working there could not explain why cards were charged and for all separate amounts at different times. Thankfully, it has all been resolved, but not without a fight. If you are putting a card on file and are expecting someone else to pay for it, be prepared to have your account charged.

This place need some TLC. The entrance has a lot going on. Parking does not come with the room. Parking costs 68$ a night extra, but the guys take 20-30 min to pick up ur car at night. MOLD and DUST on Ac vents. Rooms don't get dark enough to sleep during sunlight hrs.
Great location, great swimming pool(but cranky staff at the pool)
Bad maintenance in the rooms - Broken, cracked and twisted fixtures. I have uploaded pictures.
For 320$ a night, One would expect some quality/ standards. Rooms are small.response / report this review -

Excellent service and accommodations. We stayed at the intercontinental while on a business trip in Chicago. The hotel is located in the "magnificent mile", a stretch of Michigan av. in downtown Chicago that boasts not just a bunch of a high end shops but beautiful architecture. The hotel is over 20 floors high and the architecture matches that of all buildings in the area. Inside it is just as beautiful and luxurious with a bell hop desk by the entrance, a concierge desk and the reception area at the end of the hall.
The room was very nice, modern and clean with a fully stocked refrigerator. I found my room a bit tight and imagine someone bumping their side several times on the bathroom sink which appear to be dangerously protruding out making entry to the bathroom perilous. Thankfully I'm small and was careful, but someone larger than me would have had a hard time. I was on my company's tab, thus it is possible we got the cheapest room available, because I imagine the bigger suits to be more spacious and luxurious.
Didn't get to try room service but I did call the desk to find out where the bell hop was with my bags. They promptly answered and the bell hop brought my bags in less than 10 minutes.

This hotel was very nice. The most inviting part of the entire experience was the Bellman staff as they were so incredibly friendly and helpful I was almost in shock. Rooms are compact in size but big enough to move around in. And the scenery is nice as well.

I found the hotel to be very well managed and clean, the room being one of the larger rooms I've stayed in. Even as a solo traveller on business for a couple of nights, I found the space in the room really nice. The hotel has an amazing pool and I wish I had a photo of it. It's very ornamental and a bit like a sports pool but with spectator seating and lots of embellishment, granite and plaster. Really beautiful. Downstairs there is Starbucks and a small concessions shop, and of course Michael Jordan's steakhouse which has a lively upbeat atmosphere. The hotel has Bank of America right opposite and a Walgreens a 5 minute walk away - both useful of course. I'll be staying in this hotel the next time I'm in Chicago as it hit all the buttons for me. Thumbs up!
